My Wife and I called in for the "2 courses for £10" menu which is available only until 6.00 pm. Having been out all day, we arrived at the White Swan at just after 6.00 pm expecting to be told that we were too late. However, we were greeted very warmly and were told that we were welcome to order...

Lovely room in the annex through the garden looking on the Main Street. Our room was lovely, clean and recently refurbished with a covert comfy bed. Although on Main Street it was very quiet overnight and it was a Saturday. Very good English breakfast in the lovely Olympic dining room with friendly staff, despite being full/busy. Only downside was when...

Rubbish from start to finish. Noisy and a total rip-off I don't think we could have been given a worse room or a worse time - not good at £125 per night. No wonder this hotel has 'deals' trying to get people to stay. If you love a single-glazed room over a busy road in a hotel regularly packed with...

Agreed by mp41 this hotel is so much better than its sister hotel in York. We had a lovely room. Very quiet. Food in the evening was excellent with choices of Meat, Fish and Vegetarian. The food and beverage manager was extremely helpful and attentive. Service in the bar was excellent. We had tea with jam and clotted cream which...

So much better than its sister hotel in Harrogate which I believe is part of the same chain.. I travelled with a group and was lucky enough to have a bedroom in the modernised bit at the back of the garden which was very quiet. I'm not sure about noise in the rooms in the front of the main hotel....

Our group stayed at this hotel for three nights and i found it to be very good indeed. The service overall was very good and exceptional from the reception team. I approached them at 6pm the evening of our arrival asking if the queen size duvet on our bed could be replaced with two single duvets; no problem. We went...

We booked this hotel for it's location near to the Castle and Gardens. It is right in the centre of Alnwick. Our room was at the back of the hotel which sounds like a blessing according to other reviewers. The downside was the long route march with our luggage. We were on the first floor and there is no lift...

Nicely modernised old inn right in the heart of the town. Good restaurant, pleasant food and adequate wine list. Just one problem.......a loooooong walk to the bedroom through seven fire doors! The hotel is 5minutes from Alnwick Castle and Gardens.

We stayed for two nights and on both nights we were awoken by drunken revelers departing from the local nightclub and popping into the Pizza shop opposite which has a license to remain open until 2am. Set in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick and only a stone's throw from Alnwick Castle and Gardens, The White Swan is a charming 300 year old coaching inn that blends its unique heritage with superb accommodation. For generations one of the North of England's primary hotels, The White Swan is probably best known for its Olympic Dining Suite which features the magnificent panelling, mirrors and stained glass windows from the Titanic's sister ship. All 57 bedrooms are designed to an impeccable standard, and Hardy's Bistro, our contemporary, informal dining experience, is open all day for coffee, light lunches and an excellent bistro menu. The perfect stopover en route to Scotland, we're also your base for discovering the famous gardens at Alnwick Castle, and a tour of the very best of the North East with its unspoilt coastline, historic castles and Holy Island, Northumberland National Park and the exciting cities of Durham and Newcastle.
