We stayed here last week for 2 nights and overall had a good stay. Bedroom was clean and comfortable and food excellent however let down by having evening meal in bar area with breakfast in main dining area...however Karl our waiter on the first night was brilliant and worked efficiently and was so pleasant...he excelled my service requirement

Stayed at this hotel for two nights last week.Room clean and comfortable, but service in restaurant let the hotel down. Some of the staff in the restaurant seemed too casual in their approach to service and in need of further training. The quality of the food was O.K. The hotel location is excellent for visiting Alnwick Castle, Cragside and the Northumberland coast.

I booked a dinner bed and breakfast stay at this hotel through a Virgin experience package (which was £60 more than booking direct, but that's another story!) The experience package included wine, chocolates, robes, slippers and fresh fruit in the room, none of which were there when we checked in. It took two trips to reception to get everything delivered...

Fab cottage Roomy, clean, great location. Very homely and had a great break here with our four boys. They provided highchair and two cots for our twins. Only thing missing was a stair gate, but to be fair I never asked for one and if I had I sure they would have provided. Very helpful with our enquiries over the...

Having stayed in other Classic Lodge hotels, we decided to try this one, as we wanted to visit Bamburgh and Lindisfarne again, but also, to take the opportunity to spend more time in Alnwick, as we'd only visited the town briefly in the past. I wish we'd been able to stay in a room in the old part of the...

We stayed here in August to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. From arriving and receiving a complementary upgrade to a suite where we discovered an anniversary card from the staff to our departure, we enjoyed excellent service from all members of the friendly staff and delicious food.

Words almost fail to describe. What a joke. Except that the joke was on me. The rooms were substandard for the price. The shower was one of the worst encountered in an hotel. The lighting did not work as it should have done. The walls were paper thin. The TV buffered every time someone walked past it. But the very...

We chose the White Swan for a treat of Light bites and wine (a birthday gift) When we arrive the manager greeted us at reception and informed the kitchen and waiting staff of our arrival. We then asked if we could take a look around the Olympic Suite (the 2nd class lounge interior of the Olympic (The Titanic's sister ship)...
