Nothing but praise for the way we were able to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. David & Beverley made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived (ahead of schedule) to the day we left. Room was spacious & light with an excellent early morning sunlight view of the church opposite. Plenty of choice for breakfast even if the quality... More

We visited for 3 nights at the beginning of August. From the first welcome with tea & biscuits, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The room was very good, with a comfy bed, sofa, nice shower room. Breakfast was super, using freshly cooked local produce. The location is right in the centre of Alnwick.

Light airy and comfortable room with lovely extras included (such as sherry or a beer). A really tasty selection of breakfasts made with local produce. We can recommend the eggy bread and maple syrup. Thank you to Bev and David for helping us to make the most of our stay with their local knowledge, recommendations of where to eat and... More

A warm welcome from David, a parking pass, and we were in. Modern clean and very friendly. "help yourself to a beer or water from the fridge no charge" he added. A shoe tray in entrance, plus one in the rooms, nice little touch. Rooms were large enough to accommodate a sofa, so plenty of room. Outside the breakfast room... More

Best b&b we have ever stayed in, anywhere. Beautiful , modern, well equipped room with every convenience thought of, down to dressing gowns & facial wipes! Excellent wide ranging breakfast in lovely, sunny dining room. The location is marvellous and really appreciated the tea and cake on arrival alongside sherry in the room. All this and very cheery, friendly owners.... More

We stayed at Bow House for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. We had the place to ourselves the first night and it was a real home from home - free beer and sherry and a choice of DVDs supplied by the proprietors! The property is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail... More

I have just spent this last weekend with my wife and two other couples at Bow House in Alnwick. We were in Alnwick for the Tom Jones concert and stayed the Friday and Saturday nights. We were met on our arrival by the friendly owner David, who gave us a comprehensive what's what and where's where. There are only four... More

We stayed two nights at the Bow House. Location is super convenient to downtown Alnwick... maybe a 5 minute walk to the center! Of course David gave us the parking permits right away, and there were several parking spots to choose from right outside the home. The pleasant surprises were: -a great patio, that was private and sunny. One night... More

A charming place to stay, only a stones throw from the centre of Alnwick on a quiet street. Rooms are lovely: comfortable, immaculate and with everything you need. Wonderful breakfasts, freshly cooked with an array of choices and the owners have a great understanding of the local sights - of which there are many!
