We arrived to a fantastic welcome from Bruce and Jeanette and their high level of hospitality continued until we left 3 days later. Location is great - 10 mins walk to the centre. Nice quiet area. Beautiful building and garden. Ample parking. Immaculately clean, large, well appointed room and bathroom. Top quality bed and bedding, linen immaculately ironed (same on...

Warm welcome from charming hosts who could not have done more to make us feel at home. Elegantly furnished throughout and unusually spacious bedroom with nice little touches like the small decanter of sherry and the large dvd selection. The room was pleasantly warm and the extensive, freshly-prepared breakfast selection did not disappoint. Easy walking distance to key attractions and...

We had planned a return visit in May 2016 but this had to be cancelled due to illness. However, Bruce and Jeanette very kindly allowed us to carry forward the booking and we visited them again in May 2017. We spent another very pleasant and comfortable four days with them. Nothing was too much trouble and every possible requirement is...

Sadly we were only here for one night, but everything was just perfect. Jeanette and Bruce are great hosts - we were greeted with tea and fruit cake/cookies. Lovely big room with little extra touches like chocolates, fruit and a decanter of sherry. Breakfast was plentiful and lovingly cooked by Bruce. Couldn't fault anything, and will definitely by back for...

Made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Room spacious and well-appointed. Walking distance to pubs, restaurants and Alnwick Castle and Gardens. A good base to see the Northumberland coast from Berwick to Amble.

Mile after me of beautiful beaches, castles, historical Islands including the stunning Lindisfarne or Holy Island. National trust properties to loose yourself in. This was our 2nd stay at West Acre and it certainly didn't disappoint. The same warm welcome with a coffee/tea and cake and a chat with Bruce, our host. It was just like we had left 10 minutes before and not 12 months since our last stay. We deliberately chose the same room as before, the Edwardian Room, and it...
