I met my daughter for lunch last week and we had lunch in the bar. I am a regular and have eaten at the George so many times!!! The quality of food and service is always assured I was tempted with a dish enjoyed by the next table- macaroni cheese with crusty bread- it looked brilliant. However, I had my...

We visited for a family meal. Big group. The meal was superb accompanied by friendly yet professional service. Lovely steak cooked just right. Fishcakes are lovely. Our guests thought it was a fantastic place and a fantastic meal . Can't disagree. Would I go there again? Yes. Absolutely.

We called in on Tuesday evening, on our way home from the NEC. The bar was busy with locals drinking, and three men who were eating and were very obviously regulars. The service by the young man behind the bar was both polite and efficient. There were plenty of choices for all courses. We had a starter each, which were...

Arranged to meet my daughter here for lunch. Welcoming and helpful lady at the bar lit the fire in the pleasant and colourful dining area for us. Not haute cuisine but the prices demonstrated good value for money without frills. Mashed instead of chips and an extra egg on the gammon, No Problem. My wife and daughter were also very...

Bar area caught in a time warp. Panelled walls, old fashioned bar and tired tables........But brilliant! Extensive lunchtime menu which ranged from dishes to be found in a gastropub to sandwiches. Honest pricing and good service. Restaurant area as well which was more modern. Had local faggots with mushy peas and mum had a small but beautifully formed scampi and...

New to the area recently and pass this pub regularly so we had to try the food Menu was average but generally loaded with carbs however the specials menu was more appealing. I had pesto chicken and roasted veg but even that came with loads of sauté potato and a sea of oil on the plate. My husband has venison...

Had a meal with friends here. As sitting down and having a perfectly smooth pint the ambience was good. The food choice was good. The food was cooked really well. The pub owner made us smile. I would definitely recommend this pub / hotel to eat, or drink in!

Went here for Sunday dinner, last Sunday. I was hoping for a good roast dinner. But was not that good at all. Me and my wife had the Lamb. Said on the menu that it came from a local farm. But it was tough and hard to eat. Also the roast potatoes were very average!! And the vegetables well.......... red...

We just happened to find this Pub/Restaurant when we were out on a Bank Holiday. The whole place was clean and smart, loos checked and approved by my wife, the service was efficient and friendly with very good wholesome pub food. Well worth a diversion of the M! at Crick, possibly less than 2 miles.

Thank Jim B
