This was our third, consecutive, annual visit for Christmas lunch by our local walking group....and it just keeps getting better!!, Very impressive organisation of providing the various courses almost simultaneously for a group of 46 people. The quality and presentation of the meal was outstanding. Great atmosphere with very friendly, efficient staffing. Many thanks to all those involved on the...

As this is a local restaurant we have eaten here on many occasions. Its atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious. If you just fancy a drink then its a nice place to meet friends and if you want a meal then it has an excellent menu at reasonable prices. On this visit we were given a table in the main dining...

Arriving late Friday night for a weekend trip I was made welcome and looked after throughout, and by request was able to keep my room late into Sunday after noon. Room, for single occupancy had a double bed and large shower (no bath). It was clean, if skirting boards were a little dusty.

We stayed here to go to a local wedding and were very happy with our large room, the tasty food and the warm helpfulness of Jackie the proprietor. Nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed the bar and outside sitting area which was sunny with large cream umbrellas. The full English breakfast was particularly delicious as was the...
