We came to the Punch Bowl on one of our usual dinner dates, me and 3 friends, after a pleasant drive and arrived ready to dine. We were greeted warmly by very pleasant staff and were shown to our table which we had booked for our evening after getting some drinks from the bar. The setting was lovely and the...

We are on holiday in the area and The Punch Bowl Inn was recommended in the cottage folder. We received a very warm welcome from the staff and the food was delicious. We will definitely be making a return trip before we go back.

Pre booked for a family meal. We arrived early so table not ready, after 30 mins after time it was booked for nobody had come to tell us table was ready! Female manager/ owner?? Very short and unfriendly when asked about menu. I ordered a mushroom burger which when it arrived had a considerable amount of mould on the bread...

After a lovely walk to isles bridge. We popped into the punch bowl for a few drinks and sat outside to take in the lovely views. The menu was so tempting and we stayed for dinner. It was utterly gorgeous, good value for money and delightful wine. Great waitressing staff, Will definitely come again.

Stayed overnight in Room 1 for which we paid £110 B&B, overpriced ! Good view to front of Swaledale but view from rear window not good ! No milk supplied in room. Had to go up to "sitting room" on floor above to access jug of milk from 'fridge. Would have been happier with 'long life' milk in room. No...

We called in as we were passing one Saturday and decided it was time for a spot of lunch. I am so pleased we did. The menu gave options to cater for all tastes and when the food arrived we certainly weren't disappointed with the quality or quantity of the food. First class and friendly service along with good quality...

My husband & I stayed here for only one night. We both so wished it could of been longer. But we shall definitely be going back. The staff were very welcoming & showed us to a superior front facing room that overlooked the dales. Wow what a view from the window. We ate in the bar that evening and the...

We stayed at CBs in October 2014 and wrote a review for that stay.(the sister property to the Punch Bowl up in Arkengarthdale) I would have to say that if I was to choose between the two it would be CBs everytime, for the following reasons. 1/ The eating arrangements at CBs are homely, whereas the Punch Bowl its a...

Lovely lunch at the Punchbowl Inn. Delicious food with lots of veggie options that don't include frozen lasagne. Really yummy puddings including Sticky Toffee Pudding. Very friendly staff and just very calm and accommodating. Everything a nice pub should be.
