This is a lovely building that's been beautifully restored. The service there was very friendly indeed. Had some wonderful food, all local meat and seemingly fresh. Great to have Bitburger on draft as well, great finish to the day ! Hotel looks great as well..

Spent a weekend over Easter there meeting with a college friend and exploring the beautiful local area. The hotel was perfect. The setting gave me a feel for the area, with views that will not have changed for centuries. The Frost family were lead miners there in the 1700's and 1800's and it was easy to imagine how it might...

This was, for me, a luxury indulgence as part of lands end John O'Groats walk and glad I splurged. Very friendly staff who responded to all my requests - especially my early breakfast needs. I was able to relax and re-charge, invaluable.

We booked to come to The Punch Bowl last minute as some weekend plans had been cancelled. The Inn is located in the very scenic Swaledale area of the Yorkshire Dales, boasting beautiful views. The food was really delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's also ideal for lovers of astronomy and astrophotography as the Yorkshire Dales are...

We visited on a Tuesday night to a relatively busy pub for a Tuesday, the reception was fantastic and we were attended to straight away. The bed was very comfortable, and we had fresh towels every day. The views from the windows are amazing. There is a visitors lounge. Everything is very clean and tidy. The linens were crisp and white on a large comfortable double bed. With tea making facilities in the room...what more could we ask for? A large bar downstairs with local beers...a roaring fire and friendly staff. Would...

A beautiful 17th century coaching inn forms the base for this very comfortable gastropub. We had the DB&B option for two nights while touring the Dales. Accommodation is on the two floors above the bar and dining rooms, with a guest sitting lounge on the top floor. Meal options are written up on the mirror in the bar, and the...
