our daughter was staying at the local YHA and we wanted some where close by to stay. This was the first time we had experienced a bunk barn and were pleasantly surprised. The two large bedrooms upstairs.,were filled with bunk and single beds, linen and bedding could be provided at extra cost, but we had brought thick sleeping bags and...

We arrived at Lovesome Hill Farm and we were greeted by John who made us a beautiful pot if tea. He sat with us and chatted and filled us in on the history of the farm. We told him my reason for coming to stay near Northallerton. It was the town where my great grandfather was born. Our room was...

We walked extra beyond Danby Wiske to reach the farm, it was well worth it. We were alloated the barn conversion which was well presented, spacious, self contained with great views of the sheep & countryside. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, we had an evening meal of green thai curry which was lovely & the breakfst was also...

Loved the home cooked meal! Mary served us her own rhubarb applesauce, pork rind, sausage, pork, and dessert. The rooms were very large with all the amenities (bathrobes, shampoo, shower gel). Most the rooms had extra beds. The beds were extremely comfortable.

This is a comfortable, welcoming B&B about 2 miles east of Danny Wiske. The address says DW but it's not in the hamlet but about 300 yards north of the route at the A167. If you prefer a slower pace then stay in DW, Ingleby or Osmotherly, Great Broughton, the Lion Inn, Grosmont, and RHB. But if you prefer a...

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful old farmhouse while doing some of the C2C and loved the place. John and Mary were very welcoming and so helpful. We had three rooms which were all spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. There was nothing that you needed that hadn't already been supplied. The breakfasts were great especially their own home cured...

Have just spent five nights in the newly extended Gate Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. So nice to be able to sit either inside or out and admire the view. Also to watch "tiddles" the kitten run into the field to attack the sheep. Very funny. Many thanks to John and Mary for their hospitality, it feels like going back...

I often work away from home and can be away 4 to 5 days at a time. I stayed 4 nights at Lovesome Hill. Superb, clean accommodation with outstanding cheese omlette at breakfast :-) It has gone into my top three places I have ever stayed whilst I'm working away. Mary - enjoy the crochet Robin! Thankyou.

Had a big day on the C2C covering over 26K's so we were prettty tired by the time we arrived. Our host got us to our rooms quickly and after a shower we were invited to the dining room for a cup of tea and biscuits which as appreciated. As we were out of town ithey offer a basic evening...
