We booked this hotel quite late, and were glad we did. We had decided to stay in Knaresborough, the night before continuing our journey onto York the next day, to celebrate my birthday. We had a friendly welcome by the proprietor and very helpful information of places to eat and visit whilst in Knaresborough. The rooms were comfortable and clean...

I usually book myself a hotel when travelling. So I was a bit apprehensive staying in here as a Female solo traveller.. However I could've been more secure after been greeted by Denise and shown around.. I stayed in Room 4 which had a massive 6×6 bed which so comfortable, soft and cosy I had no trouble sleeping. This room...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a little get away for some quality time together. We arrived a little early at around 11 and asked if we could keep our car in the small car park (probably good for no more than 6 cars), she was fine with this. Spent the day walking around Knaresborough and came back around...

I spent 2 nights at Newton House when attending a friend's wedding in Goldsborough. Here are the Pros and Cons according to my experience: Pro's: 1) Location - It's about a 5-10 min walk from the railway station. You can catch a bus to Harrogate (£3.20 return) from outside the Sainsbury's which is a 2-min walk from the hotel. 2)...

Lovely b and b, excellent breakfast and lovely room, compact but adequate would definitely stay. again. Parking can be a problem as there is only room for a few cars but there is a large public car park fairly close which is around £1.60 for 24 hours

This is a charming B&B Guest house full of character. Breakfast is the finest to be had in Yorkshire. Worthy of a stay when visiting the beautiful town of Knaresborough. Harrogate also is just 20 minutes away by bus.

I visited here many years ago, under the ownership of a very welcoming and friendly couple. - How that has changed! We arrived shortly after 3pm, (the approved time of arrival), to find the rather small car park full. Our unsympathetic host, stating quite abruptly, that we couldn’t leave the car there, and would have to park it down the...

On arriving at Newton House we were given a very friendly welcome by Tina, who checked us in quickly, and within minuets were settling in to our very comfortable room. Manager Tina asked us if we would like any suggestions where to dine that evening as Newton House does not offer evening meals. Though if they did i am sure...

We stayed here for a couple of nights, we arrived 15 minutes early which the owner didn't seem too pleased about, however we checked in but were not given any information about the area, where to eat etc. We had Room 1 which is on the front, it was very noisy and it was difficult to sleep and we were...

I stayed for three days and had an enjoyable stay in an very good and spacious room that was not just a bedroom, but offered easy chairs and desk space, too. Denise and her staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts live up to the expectations that the website suggests. Newton House is certainly the place I will chose to...
