Building stunning, gardens beautiful, staff friendly and efficient, food delicious. Simply the best night's accommodation I have ever experienced. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us a quick tour of the house and showed us to our upgraded room. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious with a huge bed and impressive bathroom. Drinks in...

We stayed here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff could not have been more helpful - we had a lovely tour and history lesson about the Hall when we arrived. Our room was gorgeous with a hand written note welcoming us from the owners. We then had the 5-course taster menu which was absolutely delicious - it...

Just returned from a lovely day/night at Goldsborough Hall. We spent the day as guests of my boss and his new wife who got married at the adjacent church and then held the reception at The Hall First class service, first class food, first class room - no need to say anything further

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and we had an amazing meal in the restaurant. The Presidential Suite comes with a four poster bed, sunken jacuzzi bath, cinema style projector and luxury bathroom. The staff were all very helpful and polite. We will defiantly be returning.

We recently celebrated our parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary at Goldsborough Hall. The support we were give by Joel in making the arrangements prior to the event was outstanding as was the actual day. We had use of the Lonsdale private dining room with its excellent views of the gardens of Goldsborough Hall. Joel recommended Twisted Willow in Ripon to provide...

I drove down a narrow village lane and through a gate, and parked in front of this wonderful country house. The family cat greeted me quickly followed by a fine young man who got me settled in the drawing room. I was seated looking out on to the lawn and the Emperor of Japans gift of a cherry tree that...

Just returned from our third stay here, and we enjoyed it so much I had to write a review. Everything about the hotel is gorgeous and steeped in history. The story of the Byerley Turk stallion is worth the trip on its own, but there are so many others. The owners have cleared put a great deal of effort into...

Our stay was wonderful. The whole place exudes warmth and serenity. The staff are all so lovely and welcome you as though you are old friends. The room was gorgeous as was the bathroom with jacuzzi bath and molten brown toiletries. The grounds are stunning. The food was absolutely delicious. We will return.

My wife and I were made welcome by a charming lady who seemed to be much more than a receptionist. After checking us in she gave us a tour of the guest amenities and the spacious Hanson suite where we were staying. Going into the lounge to settle in and read the papers our kind receptionist even lit the fire...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
