What a great place/ lovely friendly owner. The family room was great - kids were so comfortable. Clean and tidy - high standards of cleanliness. The breakfast was lovely and tasty and good choice. Would recommend to families and anyone traveling alone . Thank you and sorry about the key fob x

lovely place very clean rooms very spacious decor lovely. The bed was very comfortable we had a good relaxing sleep. situated on the main road but its a quiet village no problem with noise Host was very obliging and friendly great place to stay

The B&B is situated on the Main Street in Hunmanby, I was able to park outside the front door. My stay was pleasant with a warm welcome, the B&B was spotlessly clean as was my room. Free wifi is available. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. If I was in the area agin I would definitely book a night...

Sixth visit with friends over five years. Although new owners took over a year ago, standards have not slipped. Rooms well decorated, beds comfy, excellent breakfast. Lovely village with entertainment at several venues. Will be back again.

This was our fifth visit to the Southgate B&B and it was just as good as before, this is a little gem if you are looking for somewhere on the east coast. Lovely rooms, wonderful breakfast and two pubs just yards away what more could you ask for.

Great location itself , although in hindsite a little too far at night for taxis to and from Brid , but , very nice b & b , very much worth a visit if you want a comfy and welcoming bed and breakfast. Penthouse suite was a huge surprise, spacious comfy , a double bed comfy too , a sofa...

We had a wonderful time staying in the beautiful Southgate B&B. Mick & Sue were extremely friendly and informative alongside providing brilliant service for their guests. The bedrooms were lovely and extremely comfortable and the full English breakfast was perfect! The only tiny improvement I would make would be to add a full length mirror to the bed room for...

We had been wanting to visit this establishment and the lovely Hunmanby village for some time now. How the wait was worth it. The Southgate is a perfect base for the Wolds, Filey, Bridlington, Scarborough and that gorgeous hidden gem, Hunmanby Gap cove Mick and Sue attentively run a very clean and quaint B&B. Wonderful B&B, great location. Friendly owners, nothing too much trouble. Lovely cosy clean rooms, and superb breakfast cooked to order. Stayed overnight on a visit to see friends and family. Great base for visiting Bridlington, Filey and Bempton.

Hunmanby sits on the outskirts of the seaside town of Filey with Scarborough and Bridlington only 9 miles away. You will be spoilt for choice for beaches, golf courses, walks and cycle routes in the area. We pride ourselves on the quality and cleanliness of our rooms, with a good breakfast to start your day. We have one downstairs suite which has a wet-room making it ideal for guests with limited mobility. We are happy to serve breakfast to anyone booking this room who is unable to manage the small step up into the dining area.
