We booked a night at the Solberge Hall Hotel in Northallerton but on arrival were told the booking had not been confirmed in spite of the email we had received from Secret Escapes. So we were offered a stay at Grinkle Park 40 miles away on a late Sunday afternoon. Off we went and found Grinkle Park in a superb...

very nice place with a big park to walk in. The rooms are very spacious and we felt very comfortable. Only the bathroom needs a modernization. There are lots of rhododendron, it must be amazing when you're there at the right time.

The hotel is set in 35 acres of well kept grounds a lovely journey on the edge of the North York Moors. You can visit Salburn or pop in to Whitby some 15 miles away. but when the travels are done its a lovely place to come home to. The hotel has a feel of an Agatha Christie setting. The...

Returned to this lovely little hotel near the North Yorkshire coast with my husband and parents for a couple of days last week. As usual the accommodation was very good, staff very friendly and the food also good. We went on the winter offer of bed, breakfast & 3 course evening meal with a bottle of Prosecco chilling in your room...

This hotel is an old country house with about 21 bedrooms. There are numerous public rooms including an entrance hall with large fireplace and open fire, comfortable lounging chairs and sofas and daily papers, a games room with full size snooker table, three medium sized lounges, one with a bar. These are all rooms with their original looking decoration. The...

Stayed a couple of times now and each time had a really good experience, the food is excellent with a good choice. Our room had a four poster and had nice views out of the main window, Window frames need some TLC. Friendly staff and good service, excellent!

Stayed here as a couple for one night. Room was spacious but needed a bit of attention in places. Food was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. Staff were great. Couldn't turn the radiator off which was annoying.

Two day visit. Allocated room 214. Hotel very friendly. Staff brilliant. Room was perfectly adequate, very clean (well done Sue) and bed was extremely comfortable. Food was excellent and well served. If pushed to find negatives - bathroom very small (but not a problem) and the main course on first night was served on a cold plate (but food was...

Thank you posting your review. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Apologises about the cold plate as this simply should have not happened and normally doesn't. Come back again soon as we shortly launching our "Spring" Offer - its another great offer !!!! Kind regards Richard and all the team.

Stayed here for one night courtesy of a groupon gift voucher. The offer was one night dinner bed and breakfast with a bottle of wine. The dates were limited and we had to pay £20 extra for a deluxe room as there was no standard rooms left for our chosen date. The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 14.10...

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to post your review. I am generally pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and have noted the points that you have raised particularly that of the décor and the requirement for some remedial painting particularly that of the windows. I have noted your feedback with regards to pricing and tariffs, and whilst...
