A cut above the usual b&bs. The owners are welcoming and provide surprising little extras that make you feel special. Extremely well appointed room with excellent en-suite facilities, including bathrobes and toiletries, fresh flowers and delicious homemade cake! There is also a separate "lounge" off the kitchen/diner with a fridge and microwave for self-catering. Breakfast is freshly prepared and there's... More

I stayed at Stone Pits Farm in September with my friend. Our room, a twin upstairs had everything anyone could possibly want including a delicious home made cake to welcome us and a full cookie jar with a huge selection of drinks to chose from. The en-suite had a lovely large shower, and the beds were bliss. The breakfasts were... More

Stonepits Farm is one of the best B&B's I've stayed in UK! The owner Sue made the stay for us with her warm welcome, incredible breakfasts and knowledge of the local area. On arrival we were greeted with fresh scones, cake on return from a day out and freshly baked bread at breakfast! We admired the biscuit jar in our... More

Lovely room with a very nice shower. A very tasty and sizeable homemade cake awaited us and went down well with a wide choice of teas and fresh (not sterilised) milk. Lovely host. Very peaceful. The breakfast was fabulous - lots of choice. Fresh fruit, organic/tasty items on my full english, delicious smoked fish for my wife. All in all... More

It's difficult to add to the content of previous reviews regarding the superb breakfasts (the first time I have eschewed lunch in years, it was so substantial and delicious!), lovely room, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, characterful ducks and dogs, and Sue's great sense of humour. Peaceful, charming and, basically,lovely...we just need a pretext to return now....

This B&B is one of a kind, that's for sure. Sue is the perfect hostess, and you will find all sorts of extras that we have certainly never found in a B&B......home made cakes, delicious biscuits, a full range of toiletries, freshly baked bread for breakfast.....ah yes, breakfast! Now that is a treat in itself - everything from fresh fruit... More
