Lovely, spotlessly clean spacious room, loads of hot water and golf course view. super comfortable bed. Staff as ever went out of their way to help us with small dinner party, lifting tables etc and then serving a meal that was excellent quality, and value for money. Nothing is too much trauble for this hotel.

Excellent hotel, good food ,very comfortable beds .We would stay here again if in the area. Lovely peaceful area. To improve the hotel there should be a small table in all the bedrooms, there is not one in room 26. A picture should be hung in all the bedrooms to make them less austere, there are plenty in the corridors that could be used

Pleasant stay used with a two night getaway voucher. Is cosy enough, but without sounding ageist, probably more one for the older generation. The room was comfortable enough, but just a little on the plain side, no pictures hung up giving it character & there was a big unused space in the corner of the room. The entrance/reception had a nice rural feel (fitting for the golf club). We were asked what time we wanted breakfast (only opted for one morning) and as we wanted a lie in, chose 9.45am. By the time we got there, there wasn’t much left and no effort made to top it up. Having said that, although there wasn’t a huge variety, it was tasty enough. The staff were friendly, but not overly. It is a 3 star hotel and I believe the 3 stars I’ve given reflects. On the whole I enjoyed it.

Totally lacks management! Reception is unmanned after 3 pm! No one answered telephone. All printed information out of date. Could be a great place when refurbished and managed! Great setting!:totally unmanaged!

Stayed one night as had morning ferry to Isle of Man. Very nice room, good size and countryside view. Decided to eat out and found lots of eating choices at Garstang finally choosing the Wheatsheaf and had the thickest gammon steak.

Good hotel albeit somewhat dated in decor etc. Very clean. Excellent dinner Good breakfast. Absolutely appalling that I was not informed there was no food available Monday and Tuesday in the hotel until later in the day around 5p,. We arrived after a 2 and 3 hour journey at 11.45am to play golf at 12.50pm. We wanted a light lunch of sandwiches or similar before we played golf but only crisps and coffee were on offer. Appalling, and not not be told about this prior to arriving. .

Great course condition and looked after. I’m a member at leyland and pay over £1000 a year, and this course was in much better condition. Would be nice to see a few more par fives opposed to just the one on the back nine. Bar is a little dated inside, which you wouldn’t think from the external building. Still, beer and food was good.

Golf Break at Garstang Best Western A group of six stayed at the Best Western Garstang for a golf break. The hotel was very welcoming and rooms spacious. The package included dinner as well breakfast and the food was very good. We played 2 rounds of golf and really enjoyed them despite the rain. The course was well maintained and staff very friendly We would recommend the hotel and golf course and hope to return.
