Our daughter had her wedding here last week and everything was fantastic. She had a room for her and the bridesmaids the night before and we used that to get ready. The staff moved everything over to another room for her the next day. The rooms in the old part of the house are large with beautiful views over the grounds. But the staff absolutely make your stay. They really can’t do enough for you, special shout out to Paul who was there throughout making sure everything ran smoothly and everyone was happy. Thanks so much, it was a brilliant day and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to make their day so perfect.
Well to be honest , I’m lost for words !!! I travel around a lot on business and stay in a lot of corporate hotels but this place is the icing on the cake !! The whole place has a magical charm about it ! Rooms are beautiful, staff go over the top to make your stay as comfortable as you can get , food is Exquisite and freshly prepared for you ! . If anyone says or has said any negative remarks regarding this place , well I’m flabbergasted!! I’m that impressed, I’m planning to spend a weekend here with my spouse that won’t be a corporate booking with my company !! A massive thank you to all staff for your professionalism and kindness and these things are what makes this place a fantastic and enjoyable stay !!!!
I would like to say how much my wife and I enjoyed the experience we had at Farington Lodge. We arranged a family and friends celebration for our diamond wedding anniversary, or I should say that Jennifer and her colleagues did. From the moment we walked in to ask if we could book the venue to the end of the event, we were helped and treated with respect and advised on how to set up and arrange everything. The venue is excellent for such an occasion with French Windows opening out to the beautiful gardens. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all, and the MC and staff service was unobtrusive and professional. We would definitely recommend this venue for any social event.
Best pet-friendly hotel we've been to. Our dog Bill the border collie was provided with a lovely bed, treats, bowls, a gift and a sausage for breakfast! Just sorry he wasn't allowed in the bar We did pretty well too. Spotlessly clean room, good bathroom, comfortable bed and amazing food at dinner . Top marks to the chef and Paul and all staff. They were all cheerful, efficient and helpful.
We visited today after receiving a gift voucher for an afternoon tea. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive ( without being intrusive ) The food was really good - lots of it , so much so that we couldn’t eat it all - so it was boxed up for us to bring home. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, the hotel itself was very nice from what we saw . Would highly recommend the afternoon tea - we will return!
This was a last minute bargain rate and whilst the hotel is somewhat faded the staff are exceptionally welcoming. Paul on front of house was a perfect host after my horrific journey. He was calm and so pleasant. This might not be the best hotel in the UK but he knows about service and putting the guest first. Dinner was substantial and surprisingly good, breakfast was ample too. Spend some money on a bit of an upgrade to the decor and this would be a great hotel. However it does represent real value for money.
We came for Afternoon Tea Sunday 31st July. A gift from our son and his wife on a Virgin Experience voucher. It was a delightful afternoon in beautiful surroundings. The afternoon tea was delicious, more than enough to eat, lovely fresh sandwiches and beautiful cakes. Would definitely recommend. Excellent service too. We will return.
We have just had the most amazing time at Farington celebrating our Son’s Wedding. The staff were excellent, especially Damien and Paul. They were extremely attentive and caring. The food was great as was the accommodation I would highly recommend Farington for any occasion
It’s taken a while to write this review due to things going on, however we had to stay at the Farrington Lodge after an house fire. From the moment we walked in Paul greeted us with the most welcoming smile and empathy, they had had a few hours notice to accommodate us and they moved heaven and earth to do so, they made sure that our rooms were where near each other (3 in total). Anything we needed they provided. Our son who was 14 at the time had lost his drum kit and guitar so we bought a new guitar and amp for him, Paul let him use one of the function rooms for him to practice in, it was like home from home. Moving on we was well attended to by Damien, Molly and Joe and all the other staff, they really couldn’t do enough for us. We also had a dog who was spoiled rotten with the staff and also had his own breakfast place set. My only regret is that I have never visited this amazing place for pleasure and at the time didn’t enjoy the amazing service not because the staff didn’t look after us but because of the situation that we was in. I and my family can not thank all the staff enough they were all amazing. A big thank you to all of you. Love the Gibbs’s.…
We attended a birthday celebration meal here. The venue itself is lovely, nice decor, beautifully clean. The staff were a credit to the place welcoming, friendly and efficient. There were over thirty in the party and we were so impressed with the quality of the food it was excellent. Beautifully cooked and presented and the service was brilliant. All in all very impressed with everything.
