The hotel's web site describes itself as "Clitheroe's most prestigious and distinctive hotel". The hotel is not quite as described, it is distinctive but lacks prestige. We had a room on the top floor which was pleasantly decorated but small with a small double bed. The bathroom by comparison was spacious, unfortunately hot water was reluctant to visit this part...

Stayed at the Old Post House Hotel on Monday 11 November 2013. On arrival the owner of the hotel was very helpful and accommodating as to the fact that my husband is disabled and he put us in the nearest room so he did not have far to walk. The room was decorated to a very high standard and the...

I was in Manchester from the States for work and came here for the weekend. This hotel was perfectly situated to do two wonderful walks in the area. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was updated and comfortable and it was quite interesting to be in the old post office and think about the former use of the building and...

I have to start by saying that I have not stayed at this hotel. However, I was so impressed with the service I received with regard to an aborted stay I felt compelled to put pen to paper. We had booked two double rooms at the hotel for a wedding on New Year's Eve, which unfortunately had to be cancelled....

Stay here whilst attending a wedding near by A quick simple check into what was a clean and comfortable double family room. Extensive breakfast options for refuelling in the morning Truly an eagerly priced hotel so why use large chain hotels when places like this exist!

The room was adequate but the bed was an undersized double so not a lot of room if you are on the larger side. It was clean and tidy. The shower was pathetic to say the least. Once enough pressure had built up to enable it to work (this took some 5 minutes) the shower constantly fluctuated from very hot...

I had the great pleasure of staying here for a month due to work commitments and this far exceeds a 3 star hotel. Ron, his wife Shirley and now Wayne along with all their staff make this a delightful place to stay. The food is beautifully produced to a very high standard (at breakfast the fruit on offer is all...

We stayed here one night whilst heading to a wedding nearby. Te rooms were clean and I found the staff to be wonderfully friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was super, cooked to order and delicious with all the usual options offered. Right in the heart of Clitheroe and a good base. Would recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights with my parents because we had booked on the Fellsman Steam Train but also wanted to see a bit in and around Clitheroe. The location of this attractive hotel really is perfect ..seconds away from the train station and in the centre but peaceful and sound sleep had by all in very comfortable large beds....

I loved my stay at The Old Post House, I found the gentleman who greeted me very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu for dinner was lovely and the young gentleman Will who served me was lovely - all in all my stay was lovely!
