Since the weather has started to get slightly better we have taken the dogs for a walk around Stoneyhurst grounds then called into the Shireburn for a pub lunch! It's warm, cosy and all the fires are lit! It's a great atmosphere, very relaxing with a professional but not a stuffy feeling! The food is always lovely! I had chicken...

Popped in a couple of weeks ago for a late Sunday lunch... 2 x roast beef with all the trimmings, and sticky toffee pudding sundaes to finish - every bit was delicious! Lovely service and atmosphere, and good value. Will definitely return :)

Having little time to prepare for a visit to see a sick relative, I relied on the magic of TripAdvisor to find me a place to stay - the result being the Shireburn Arms. It's a little way out of Clitheroe - further than I had imagined - in a cosy village surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has the perfect...

We went up to the Shireburn Arms for a meal on Saturday 14th January, we pre booked our table that morning for 8pm. We arrived on time and where shown to our table straight away, the staff very kindly apologised for the noise level as they had a wedding on (Which didn't bother us one bit) The food was excellent...

We took advantage of a special offer of £50 bed and breakfast if we spent £50 in the restaurant and we spent a Sunday night at the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable and the only slight problem we had was with the mixer tap on the shower. We had dinner in the bar area which was very...

Its been a while since we've visited the Shireburn and to be clear its a lovely place - great views out over the valley from the rear and generally a good reputation. There are function rooms at the rear and as we realised on Saturday aiming for a dinner with friends and good conversation on the same night as a...

We stayed overnight for walking with friends. On arrival we asked to change our room to one with a bath and this request was actioned with no fuss. The rooms were large, clean, well furnished and had large and comfortable beds with soft pillows. The staff were great. The food excellent. We had a half board deal which is January...

The game in the game casserole wasn't up to much; gristly and chewy and a casserole isn't the most difficult dish to make in a kitchen. The sauce it was in was actually rather nice though and so were the vegetables.

The service was absolutely flawless and the flavour of food was gorgeous, the waiters and waitresses were always asking if you enjoyed the meal and if you wanted anything else and it was just a great dining experience, highly reccomend!

Visited for a very nice pre Christmas meal. Good selection of dishes on the menu including a set option. The interior is deceptively homely and feels like a real country pub. Mains were the highlight - very pleasant pie and chips and excellent hake. Would go back.
