We have driven past this place countless times on our way to Rivington but this was our first visit as we now have a puppy to consider. We loved the place from the friendly welcome to the excellent food & have booked a return visit already. The pub itself is a bit dark but old & full of character. We...

Stopped here after a walk at Rivington Pike. Very friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and being able to take the dog in was a big bonus- he was a bit tired from all the walking! We have eaten here before and had no complaints. We only stopped for a drink this time. Everything was a great price! Will be back again!

We stayed at the Bay Horse for a private function in the barn, a traditional building just next to the pub. Cobbled floors and stone walls made the ambience spot on. The bar was well stocked and hot pot was welcome after a few bevvies. We had two rooms, one for me and my other half and one for my...

Stumbled upon this traditional pub after walking in the area. Good traditional pub food, great value and amazingly friendly staff. Will definitely go back. A great selection of beers and ales too. Would recommend booking however .

A friend had recommended this place so we tried it. It was ok but we would not go back. I had fish and chips. He had chicken with parm (ham). Both were mediocre in quality. Dessert was good but clearly not made there. Service was adequate when we asked for attention. We were the only people in the dining room...

Lovely cosy pub on the fringe of Rivington. I visited with my wife and friends for a few drinks and to catch up with friends. The service was excellent, atmosphere great and although we didn't eat, the food looked lovely. Will definitely return to try the food. Overall great evening.

Me and my friend like to drive out and have loved the food every time! Quiet place lots of historical value has been kept within the building. Service brilliant especially the elderly gentleman, very welcoming and attentive. The only thing I would say is considering its an old building the furniture could do with a bit of a clean, but...
