I attended the oaks hotel for the first time on the 18/02/17 and was very impressed with the grandness and the décor of the building. Whilst waiting for the wedding we were attending to start we headed to the bar - I don't carry cash (we live in a cashless society where card payment should be universally simple and contactless...

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am sorry that you had so much trouble trying to buy drinks. We are at present looking at putting card machines on all of our bars which as you say would help with the loss of revenue. I will pass on your comments to the chef regarding the Yorkshire...

Came here in a group of 11, check in was easy and quick, room was of an ok standard, the bar area could do with a bit of an upgrade. Breakfast was also of a good standard, free parking and free WIFI also came in handy.

Went here for an overnight stay with my husband and we had a lovely time. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the place itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. It is in need of a little TLC in places but many places of this age are. The pool and sauna facilities were lovely, however we got the...

Booked afternoon tea here as a treat, for four adults and two children, including two gluten free meals. From the service to the food everything was perfect. The sandwiches to all the delightful cakes where so tasty. I highly recommend you try this place.

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night whiles on business in Burnley. I found the hotel to be a quiet and peaceful haven. It is an old traditional stone building which has bags of character. More useful was the free parking; something that is becoming a rarity nowadays at hotels. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My only...

This hotel is a listed building so there is no lift. That said the staff very kindly offered to help with our luggage and had we had more than one bag each we may have taken them up on the offer as we negotiated the name of stairs. If you have mobility problems I would recommend you mention it when...

We stayed here for two nights at New Year. The main building is quite grand and has the charm of an old manor house. Unbeknownst to us, the hotel was fully booked for New Year's Eve celebrations which meant that we were not able to book into the restaurant, nor could we order a meal via room service. The bar,...
