Detailed Reviews
from the moment i walked through the door, of this charming Family run Hotel, I felt completely at ease, the parking was easy and on site in a secure location, the hotel was well sign posted,.
I was particularly impressed with the measures put in place to combat covid 19, like hand gel, distancing in the dining area, the staff wearing masks and gloves, a good wipe down of surfaces policy, not to mention the bedding and towels policy.
This is how a safe and professional Hotel should operate withput being too clinical,
The bedroom was modern and clean with all the amenities you need, kettle, wifi, hairdryer etc.
the location for town or sight seeing is fantastastic, and you have supermarkets and local shops very close to your location...
All in all a fantastic and homely place to stay, with complete peace of mind re the measures in place at this time....

A lovely smiley welcome from the hosts, Barbara and Steve, as they invited us into The Beaumont, made a very good first impression.
The facilities available, include a very comfortable lounge, with TV, dvd's, books and games. There is also a lovely dining room, and additional dining area in the ajoining bright, airy conservatory.
A really characterful cottage garden was available to us, had we had more time there to enjoy it.
Our twin room wasn't the largest we've ever stayed in, but the bright, clean, spotless fresh bedding and decor, more than made up for the size. Having said that, we did have a spacious, immaculate en-suite.
The bathrobe, and fresh, clean, snow white towels were a pleasure to use, as were the complimentary toiletries.
Quality bedding and pillows, ensured a great nights' sleep too. ( We noticed that ear plugs were placed on the bedside tables, in case of snoring partners !!!)
There was a great selection of teas, coffees and biscuits on the hostess tray.
Every eventuality had been catered for, so we weren't surprised to be able to enjoy a delicious , full english breakfast, accompanied by fresh orange juice, tea and coffee, and a selection of toast, all served on matching quality crockery.
The whole experience here, made for a most enjoyable short breakaway, while visiting family close by.
We were made to feel very welcome at all times, and the whole experience fully deserves the AA * * * * rating, it has.
We would highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to a return visit.
Thank you Barbara and Steve, for your hospitality.

Stayed for 1 night before visiting clients just out of town the next morning - well situated to have an easy walk into town for some food in the evening, and then only a mile or so from the industrial areas just out of town.
Friendly hosts, comfy beds and nice clean rooms. Breakfast is available from 06:30hrs which is handy if you are needing an early start.
Ear plugs are supplied in the room - but I didn't need these. Nice to know they are an option if you are particularly light sleeper, but I didn't hear any noise or other disruption to stop a good nights sleep. Fans also on hand in the room if its warm.
Vegetarian options on the menu.
Barbara & Steve were on hand and very friendly, I am sure if you needed anything or had an issue you would only have to speak to them and they would sort it out for you. An advantage of using a small independent establishment over a chain hotel, its always a bit more of a personal approach.
Would stay again, no bother.

Great experience at The Beaumont.
I was met on arrival by both Steve and Barbara who took the trouble of asking my Christian name and called me by that afterwards - a nice touch which makes you feel like a personal guest and no mean feat as my name is unusual!
Check in was straight forward and easy, and I was taken straight up to my room.
The room was bigger than the photo suggested (single en suite). Linens were very new looking, towels bright white and fluffy and the room was immaculately clean. Nice touches such as earplugs, a fan and bathrobe were appreciated as were the toiletries.
Breakfast was great, good quality items and served cooked fresh to order.
As this was a fleeting overnight visit, I didn’t get the chance to utilise the public spaces such as the sitting room and garden, but they looked well kept and tidy.
The 4* AA rating is well deserved and I would have no hesitation staying here again.

I took my mother to the Beaumont for their afternoon tea and I can highly recommend it. It offers really superb value for money and the owners are very friendly.
We sat in a light and airy conservatory which overlooked a very pretty cottage garden full of flowers.
The tea which cost £17.50 per person consisted of more sandwiches than we could eat and all freshly made including salmon, ham and egg. Several freshly baked scones with clotted cream, jam and strawberries and a whole layer of fancy cakes plus as much tea as it is possible to drink!
I would not hesitate to take someone there again- a hidden gem which deserves to be better known.

Response from Barbara Smith, Owner at The Beaumont
Responded 27 Jun 2021
Hi Christina, Thank you for choosing The Beaumont to celebrate your mothers birthday, we're really pleased that you both enjoyed the afternoon tea, it was doubly exciting for us, because you were our first guest of the year after taking over the Beaumont two years ago, so thank you so much and hope to see you again in the future.

Stayed whilst away on business for one night.
As a lone female felt very safe. The rooms are lockable with a key.
The hosts are a very nice couple and made me feel welcome without being overpowering.
The place is spotlessly clean, decor is little bit dated, but the rooms have everything you need, comfy bed, hair dryer, iron, fan, tv, wifi, tea, coffee, biscuits in room, good supply of towels and toiletries.
Fantastic breakfast and choice of breakfasts.
Will definitely stay again and have already recommended to a colleague who stayed in sittingbourne last night too (but in a different hotel).

What a lovely little place.
We were booked to Chase the Sun, a ride that starts in Minster and takes you all the way across the country to Burnham on Sea. We were late to book anywhere but a friend was starting and passed on the hotel details.
The photos don’t do it justice. Our room was a great size, with everything we could need. We needed an early start so we’re even able to watch the England v Scotland game in the comfort of bed.
I’d fired a few questions through to the owners Steve and Barbara, and had immediate responses that had them bending over backwards to accommodate our bikes in their hotel.
We also had a stupidly early check out to get to the start line, so, knowing we would miss breakfast in the morning, they very kindly whipped us up a fresh batch of pastries, a fruit salad and a juice box. It was such a lovely touch, and one that started us off on the right foot at 2am!!
We will be back!

We were greeted by cheerful and friendly hosts Steve and Barbara. We were given an upgraded room which was very welcoming. The B&B is homely and attention to detail is obvious. Bed was very comfortable. Although the B&B is on a main road every effort is made to help you have a good nights sleep, fan in room and ear plugs ( or extra blanket and fan heater, if it’s cold). The breakfast was tasty and portion sizes just right. Parking was excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A friendly welcome from Steve and Barbara, as usual. The Beaumont is spotlessly clean and our room on the first floor was comfortable with fluffy white towels and quality toiletries provided. Tea and coffee in the room as well.
We enjoyed a very good cooked breakfast.

The Beaumont offers safe and convenient parking and Barbara greeted me with a friendly smile as soon as I arrived at the guest house.
I booked the room for a week long stay while I attended a training course less than a seven minute drive from the guest house.
The room was perfect for my stay with a power shower, wash basin and a separate private toilet. There's a wardrobe and chest of drawers, perfectly crisp bed linen and a comfortable mattress. Outside there is a lovely garden to sit and enjoy the evening.
Barbara and Steve were always on hand and both cooked breakfast in the mornings allowing for an early start. Through the week I had a full English breakfast, Veggie breakfast, fresh fruit salad, wholemeal toast, mushroom omelette, bacon omelette, pots of tea and fresh butter. Not all on the same day! The food was excellent.
Shops and supermarkets are close by and within walking distance.
I can highly recommend The Beaumont. When I'm next in Kent I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
