I have stayed at the bell hotel on and off for the last ten years. The hotel has vastly improved for its old faulty towers days, the rooms have been refreshed and the bar and restaurant modernised. On poor comment only One towel in the bathroom. high turnover of staff appears to be a problem with this hotel.

The breakfast was excellent. Premium salmon and plenty of it with scrambled eggs not to mention ample fresh fruit and berries and nice pastries. Coffee wan't anything to write home about. Lively pub bar with different areas and got the sense there was a nice mix of out of towners and locals. Bed was comfortable and room was very cosy...

Sadly we only stayed one night to attend a wedding reception, it would have been great to stay longer! The hotel is a nice mixture of modern and traditional. The rooms are spacious and clean with every facility you need. The bathroom was huge and the bed was incredibly comfortable! We stayed in a ground floor with a river view,...

The rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely choice of toiletries. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of cooked foods and cereals, fruit and pastries. Staff were friendly and polite. The bar was very busy and staff were quick to serve. I can't fault our stay at the hotel.

We visited Sandwich, for work, yesterday and repaired to The bell Hotel, specifically The Bell Bar Brasserie for a well-earned glass of wine - but liked the look of the menu, the ambience and the staff (Zoe, Emily & Coral), who looked after us so well - that we dined as well. Will we be back? Yes of course !...

I wrote a review back in June and rated the hotel as 4/5 as our 3-night stay was excellent apart from breakfast. Well, the breakfast issues have been resolved. We were seated immediately. There was plenty of fruit salad left, there were pastries, coffee arrived quickly as did our toast. We had a balcony room this time which was excellent...

We took advantage of the Sunday Night Special Offer to celebrate our anniversary. There are only four car spaces outside the hotel but there is a large car park within sight of the hotel and they hotel can give you an overnight parking ticket for a small fee. When we got to the hotel we found we had been upgraded....

We stayed this weekend to attend a wedding at The Hotel. Our room (2) was facing the quay, so the view was lovely. Set in the Town Centre meant we had easy access to all the local amenities. The Staff were so helpful and accommodating, especially when I misread the time on the clock in the bedroom and thought it...
