We booked the DUSTY dolphin for a romantic brake away, the landlady was rude and couldn't be bothered. The stairs are crooked it felt like I was at the crooked house at the fair, the room was dirty and dusty the beds were horrible due to the plastic Mattress protectors and pillow protectors, the shower didn't work it dribbled water. Also...

This couple arrived at the door late afternoon time, bartered a reduced rate for 2 night stay. After signing in and then receiving their keys we spent 15 mins or more talking about the opening times of local shops and the shopping centre 2 miles away and whether there were any time restrictions about coming in at night (none as...

I have stayed at this B&B a couple of times and Sue is without a doubt an amazing host! The rooms are big and airy with all the things you would expect and then much more!! There is a fridge, TV/DVD player in every room, with your own cuttley, tissues, kitchen towels, plates, glasses etc- it’s a true home from...

Very good value. Sue goes the extra mile to provide very useful items such as a fridge, hairdryer, ironing board, which are usually considered extras in other more expensive B&Bs. I had a very comfortable stay, and, from my room, had a beautiful view of the sea and the seafront stretching all the way to Fort Hill. The location is...

I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews this place has received. Yes the landlady comes across as a bit stern, but talk to her, for goodness sake, and you'll find she's a normal human being. I can't comment on the breakfast as I stayed room-only, but I was certainly impressed by the room. It was the best equipped I've...

Stayed here for about six weeks from October thru November. It's an old fashioned B&B and you get what you pay for. He had Room No. 1, which came with a separate bathroom. Everything was clean and the bedroom was well furnished and comfortable. No problems with the landlady at all. Found her to be perfectly pleasant and accommodating. If...

I booked this b&b being on a bussiness trip. Because of the nature of my job, I have to travel a lot so I have stayed in quite a few places around UK. This place is the worst I ever stayed so far. 1) On arrival the lady that runs the place was terribly rude- on their webpage they keep...

I have stayed at the Happy Dolphin on business and pleasure quite a few times now and quite frankly would not stay anywhere else when in the area. Susan strives continually to make sure that guests are comfortable and happy. The rooms are clean, cosy and are filled with endless extras, eg DVD, Books, Satellite TV,toilet items, cutlery and refreshments....
