We stayed at The Bear Inn while attending a wedding in Margate. We will defiantly be going again! Regan and her partner (apologies I forget his name now) were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The decor was retro and fun, although it seemed small from the outside the room was surprisingly spacious! The...

If you're looking for the ideal spot in Margate, this the place to stay. Right I on the front overlooking the bay my room had (brill views) TV, DVD player fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and was spotlessly clean. Tegan and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The unique decor was an education every time I climbed the stairs, it was...

This hotel is right on the seafront of Margate and next to the railway station, although our sleep was not disturbed by the trains as we didn't hear them! The decor is unique and adds interest to every landing and stairway. It is comfortable, clean and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Although this is a room only establishment...

A gem of a find online. Booked as 4 of us visited Margate for the opening of Dreamland. Eccentric in the hall and up the stairs, but full of character. Both rooms were clean, newly decorated. We all had a comfortable nights sleep... And Regan couldn't have been more helpful in communication in the build up to our visit and...

I booked this Guest house for my 16 year old daughter to stay in whilst on a course. Regan was an absolute gem from start to finish, understanding my worries of leaving my daughter. She had a lovely room overlooking the sea front, and was made to feel welcome and comfortable throughout her stay, I cannot thank Regan and her...

It was our spontaneous break we took 7 years ago. I had a break from work and immediately jumped on the train from London to Margate with my wife and her brother. We didn't book anything, just went straight from the station looking for a place to stay. Couple of usual hotels which appeared to be quite expensive and here...

My girlfriend and I visited Margate last weekend so we could visit her family and celebrate a kind-of-big-birthday weekend. We decided to stay at the Bear Guest House for three nights as it was very close to the sea front, was reasonable priced, close to the town centre and looked OK on the Guest House's official website. Both my partner...

Myself and my 12 year old son stayed here for one night. I must admit when I first went in i was a bit unsure. It is very different from any B&B I've stayed in before but by the time we left I realised this was a good thing. It has personality. If you want bland cream walls and no...
