We stayed there for 3 nights in early December. The first night we were the ONLY people there. Can they survive with such low bookings?? They obviously do a lot of catering for special local events and there seemed to be a lot of parties going on in the daytime and early evening while we were there. The exhibition of...

18 of us stayed here for New Years Eve dinner, disco, bed and breakfast. And how we all enjoyed it. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, the hotel was a pleasure. Quirky certainly, a few chipped edges maybe, but clean and friendly, the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay a success. Our rooms were varied and interesting, the whole group...

This is a unique and quirky hotel that I highly recommend. I stayed here with my sisters and the service and food were excellent. The rooms are filled with old world charm - although the mattresses were not comfortable, hence the loss of a star. The staff could not have made you feel more welcome and the vegetarian choices for...

Stayed for one night with my wife + had dinner, which was first class - I recommend the duck breast with cherry sauce. The place is truly amazing - great building, great room, great staff, great food and the museum exhibits are vast and so interesting On arrival we were welcomed by the reception staff and then later by the...

Fascinating hotel with wonderful staff. Great views and handy for the beach and early morning dog walks. In the area visiting relatives but would come back here just to enjoy this lovely hotel. Fantastic veggie food too!

This amazing hotel is part museum, part art gallery and part hotel. The room was spacious and well appointed with sufficient of a sea view to be worth having. The breakfast was fantastic (fresh fruit platter in addition to all the usual) and with great service. What really makes it special is the collection of memorabilia, old appliances and napkins...

Stayed here with my Daughter who had stayed three times before and loves it. The hotel would definitely not appeal to anyone who enjoys a chain owned, sterile, every room the same, bland style hotel. The owner of The Walpole Bay, Jane, manages to make your stay feel like you are a guest at an Edwardian house party. We walked...

We stayed in a family room for two nights this month. I was expecting the hotel to be in Margate but actually it's just outside of Margate in Cliftonville. You could walk into Margate, but as we had our baby in a pram we decided to drive. This hotel is really retro and was tough getting to our room with...

My niece and her husband treated us both to a stay at this hotel. All four of us enjoyed the murder and mystery event/ dinner held there on the 22 October 2016. A genuine and quite different experience for us. The food was good plain fare, enjoyable for all that. The hotel itself has many old and quite quaint features...
