I have stayed in the King Charles hotel several times. Mainly because it's dog-friendly. It's nice and clean with comfortable rooms, a decent bar and restaurant and is run by friendly helpful staff. The parking is good with ample spaces. It's near to the Brompton army barracks and the Royal Engineers museum, It's close to the historic Chatham dockyard /...

We were due to arrive quite late on the Friday evening, around 10pm,so rang ahead to say we'd be checking in late.Staff said not to worry as 24hr reception. Arrived and checked in quickly and set up an open account on the debit card. First impression on room and hotel appearance,a little dated but perfectly adequate. The hotel bar was very...

Stayed at the hotel for the Abba tribute, knew it was going to be a good night as have stayed at the hotel twice before. Found the room to be very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. Would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and will definitely be booking in the future.

My husband and I were in London on holiday for our Anniversary and while there we were invited to my sister-in-laws, brothers wedding which took place in Cooling Castle Barns. We booked this hotel since most of the family were staying there. Truthfully, since it wasn't the usual hotel names we knew, we weren't expecting anything great..but we were pleasantly...

For some reason our gps had trouble finding this hotel although our son had no problem. Many streets were closed for road works which complicated things. However the hotel when we found it was welcoming and had extensive parking. This hotel caters for weddings but our room was at the end of a corridor away from the wedding venue and...

Stayed here to break a journey. The hotel had a decent score on the site we booked through and the price seemed very reasonable and included breakfast The hotel has free parking but also has a lot of tribute acts etc at weekends so when I had to pop out later I struggled to get back in the car park....

Very efficient and friendly staff. Extremely clean and an excellent breakfast. I will have no hesitation in returning or in recommending this hotel to others. It is very conveniently located. Just a five minute stroll into the centre of Gillingham and close to the various universities and close to public transportation.

Thank you for your recent review of the King Charles Hotel I am always happy to read that a guest would stay again if they were in the area. A word of mouth recommendation is the best recommendation we could ask for.

My wife and I had four pleasant nights here. It was easy to find and in a convienient location for most parts of Kent. A quiet location with plenty of parking. Rooms were clean and well serviced. At the time of our stay it was very busy but no problems at all.
