We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was clean, comfortable and suitably creepy. As I recall, it was the TY MAM house, room #4. In the past, my wife has spotted the ghost cat in the Emerald Room. This time I was awakened by something at 3:17am and then went back to sleep. When I was showering...

We went out to Columbus for a car show in July. When I looked for a place to stay I found The Buxton Inn and it turned out to be my lucky day! When we arrived with my truck and car trailer I parked in front of the Inn and asked if it would be OK to leave it there...

The Buxton Inn takes you back in time and is a great option for staying in Granville. Stocked with history from the 1800's, you'll find uneven floors in the main building and tons of character. We found it priced less than the Granville Inn and easy to walk to everything downtown. There are several buildings on the property in which...

This Inn certainly feels historic and charming. Couldn't be closer to town for a stroll to get dinner, drinks or ice cream. Things are starting to get rundown though (ie the odd hodgepodge of the courtyard and very weathered fountains circled by Christmas lights). Don't get excited about breakfast being included- this is cereal, coffee and yogurt only. Would have...

Hi Estrella49, Thank you for visiting the Buxton Inn. We appreciate your feedback on your stay with us. We are the proud new owners of the Inn and are working very hard to find the balance of updating the Inn while keeping all of the treasured history. While it might seem like a slow process we want to make sure...

Needed a night away and came to this beautiful town and stumbled across this cool inn! If you love history, this place has it! Where else can you stay that 3 presidents stayed! William Henry Harrison rode his horse up the stairs into the ballroom! How awesome! We didn't see any ghosts but I'm pretty sure that old cat that...

My wife and I recently had a 60th anniversary party at the "new" Buxton Inn. It was splendid in all respects: from the organizing of it with a very friendly and helpful catering manager; to the beautifully renovated Blue Room in which it took place; to the graciousness and caring spirit of the staff and servers; to the delicious dinner....

Recently spent 4 nights at the Inn. We have been to Granville before and stayed at the Inn, we love to come and stay for several days to unwind and relax. We also like the convenience of the very short walk to everything in downtown. Very pleased to meet one of the new owners on this visit. Saw improvements already made...

I have stayed with my family before and have always loved the Buxton Inn. It is quaint and cozy. We returned to the old family favorite. Their restaurant is a reflection of their rooms. Beautiful wood furniture, lots of glass and greenery. Be sure to sit in the dining room in the back, as it is gorgeous on warm summer...

We, some 38 family members, were in Granville for a memorial service over mother's day weekend. Many of us stayed at the Buxton and we had dinners there Fri and Sat nights. The Inn accommodated us--all 38, even at the last minute when a previous reservation fell through for dinner. They gave us private rooms for the dinners that were...

When we checked in, got sent to a house two doors down. House hadn't been renovated in decades. Several lights and fixtures did not work, carpets haven't been cleaned since the Reagan administration. Continental breakfast was awful - canned juice, one huge bowl of flavored yogurt and muffins still in their packaging from the grocery store. Couldn't mange a timely...
