This is our 2nd stay but without our wonderful dog Willow, who accompanied us last time and is now in the big kennel in the sky. The new toilets, showers are superb. The welcome from Steve & Caroline was very pleasant & friendly. I would recommend this site to all my friends. Lots of EHU points.

We have stayed here a few times now and we were staying the same time as the poor review. I have to say that we had no concerns from noise or anything else that evening. Seems some people have nothing better to do! The new shower block and toilets are superb and compliments the site perfectly. Caroline and Steve are the perfect hosts and always welcome their visitors personally. If you want a quiet, away from it all spot then you won’t get better. Thank you Caroline and Steve from having us back to your beautiful site.

Thank you both very much for such a wonderful review. We were so upset by our one and only bad review. To have such a lovely review at the beginning of the season has lifted our spirits no end. So pleased you loved the new facilities too! We look forward to seeing you both again in a couple of weeks. Steve and Caroline

The site is a large flat field beside the busy and noisy A3058 main road. The owners were very friendly but didn’t enforce the site rules resulting in dogs not being on leads and on one occasion, there was dog mess outside of our tent. Some of those staying did not observe the “quiet after 10pm” request and on our penultimate night a large family group of 3 or 4 Motorhomes/ tents pitched up right next to us with flashing fairy lights and barking dog even though they had been allocated a large pitch on the opposite side of the field but close to the road. We ended up taking down our tent late at night and moving across to the other side of the field but close to the very noisy road just to get away from them. Unfortunately, we could still hear them talking loudly until well after midnight. This was despite the owners saying that they would talk to them as they knew them well and were regular visitors. As a result of the above we went home a day early and despite the owners promising a refund for our last night we have never received it. The toilets and showers were very clean but because the shower cubicle was so small there was nowhere dry to get dressed and so we ended up getting dried and dressed in the toilet communal area – hoping that no one came in while you had no clothes on. Although this site is shown as a Camping and Caravan Club Certified Location with up to 5 Motorhomes or Caravans, when we were staying there were often up to 10 of these in addition to tents, so not the small, quiet site we were expecting.

We are sorry you feel this way about your stay with us. Yes, there is a main road, but the site is set well back from the road with another field in-between. At no time did you complain about dog mess outside your tent or about the small shower changing area. We have new shower and toilet blocks for next year, as we too feel they were cramped, so at our first opportunity these have been replaced. We did speak to the other guests as promised, but we are sad to see that you didn't mention in your review that both my husband and I spent considerable time that evening, on the phone, trying to arrange you a bed and breakfast, at our expense, as an apology that you had been disturbed. Had to made contact with us before you left, we would have refunded your one night's camping, however, if you give us a call, we will gladly refund you. Yes numbers were slightly over as we had family staying, but rest assured this has been discussed with the club. Thank you for taking the time to place your review, our first negative review in three years!

This is a super campsite for quiet off grid camping. Just a field with a toilet and shower - so quiet. A few elec pitches. If this is your style of camping then definitely recommend this lovely small campsite. Really friendly owner, Caroline, great communication before hand too. Very convenient for Yarmouth / Yarmouth ferry about ten minutes away. Electric was good. Plenty of space between pitches - a park anywhere site when we visited. Would love to come back. We did use the shower - it was clean and hot. Stayed in a motorhome - lovely and flat!!

An ideal site having easy access for cycling and walking and not far from the Ferry terminal. The owners made us feel very welcome. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent and well set up to take account of Covid. We’ll be back.

Second weekend camping here, superb campsite, very clean, felt very safe as had heaps off space in our group. (Only 6 of us but 4 vans between us all) The owners are so friendly and make sure everyone is OK, even ran extra electric leads so we could set up in a gorgeous corner next to a tranquil pond. Price was extremely reasonable. Couldn't fault facilities, again, very clean, all the covid secure measures in place. We highly recommend this campsite. Thanks so much Steve and Caroline.
