We stayed there a while ago and I sadly have to say I agree that the owners or managers seemed disinterested in what they were doing. Nice hotel and used to be nicer under previous owner, a Canadian, and his wife who went to a lot of effort to make stays memorably pleasant..Hard to really recommend now.

Visited this place thinking it was going to be ideal for us whilst working away from home.! The main thing about this place was the absolute lack of courtesy and good manners from the owners. How these individuals have lasted in this industry baffled us. They were rude, unattentive, cocky and generally showed a lack of hosting skills - big...

My wife and I have stayed in this hotel twice, the most recent visit being earlier this year. The first time we stayed approximately 1 year previous, breakfast was expensive and service was average. However, I was pleased to see a massive improvement around the place this year, complementing its beautiful setting. Breakfast was excellent, a fine selection of cooked...

Rooms are not exciting, but clean and comfortable. We stayed in Freesia, and the shower was a bit of a challenge having next to no water pressure, but we managed. Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. A bit surprised at having to ring the bell for entry at 8pm on the first night, but after that we...

If you like bland 70s decor, lots of helpful little notices, a blocked up shower which only serves to spray down the wall and an over attentive landlady then this could be right up your street.

So many things about this place made it rather nice and yet just a few small things spoilt it all. The rooms are overly twee and look like a 1970s Laura Ashley designer had been given carte blanche to do as they wished. The toilet cistern dripped all night long and the water pipes whistled when people in the neighbouring...

We stayed for two nights and although we enjoyed our short break we were disappointed with this hotel. Having viewed the website before booking I felt confident this would be of superior quality, however the hotel is dated, tired and in need of a really good clean. The proprietors were welcoming and friendly but although a non smoking hotel, there...

Spent 2 nights in a twin room with elderly and infirm mother, booked through Laterooms and cost £150. The bathroom/wetroom was modern clean and convienient, the beds were comfy and there was a pretty view of the garden, plenty of tea/coffee and fridge with fresh milk. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the breakfast was plentiful, good quality...

The hotel is in a quiet location, with beautiful gardens. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owners who were friendly and pleasant and the room we stayed in (The Marigold) was spacious and had a view of the sea. It was a pleasant change to have a fridge in the bedroom which we used to store cold drinks...
