Had a wonderful stay at the Seaview Hotel. Everything was beyond expectations. Diane at the reception was fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Bar staff attentive and food delicious. Location of the hotel exactly as described. I will certainly return.
Such a pleasure to stay in a lovely hotel. Staff so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a real treat lots to choose from, well prepared food plus great service Perfect. Dinner was just as good. We will be going back Thank you for a wonderful break
Had a great meal in the pump bar, service was excellent and food well prepared. My daughter was disappointed the scampi is no longer available, we were pleased to hear fish and chips was still available although not shown on the menu Look forward to returning again in the future.
Just returned from a lovely evening in the bistro! The food was absolutely amazing!! Fresh and delicious! From chicken gougons to the lamb, sea bass and steak - everyone cleared their plates! Such a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Would thoroughly recommend!
The first thing that struck us upon arrival was the welcoming and helpful attitude of the receptionist. During our 3 day stay, we found that all of the hotel's people we met had positive, friendly and accommodating dispositions. Great stuff. We booked a superior room with a sea view. Being familiar with the location of the hotel, we were not surprised that the view of the sea is from the side of the bay window. The front view is of the buildings on the opposite side of the road. However, it is not a sea 'glimpse'. The windows are particularly large and the view, albeit from the side, is uninterrupted, wide and worthwhile. The room itself was spacious and immaculate. The bathroom was also of a good size but looked a little tired. E.g there was an unsightly brown chip in the enamel of the bath that we initially thought was dirt. A simple repair would have made all the difference. That said, we found the housekeeping to be very good. Older buildings will always have issues. The windows in our room were (probably) the original wooden box sash. We had to wedge one with cardboard to stop the upper and lower frames banging against each other in the wind. Double glazing is an expensive investment but would certainly improve soundproofing and comfort. The breakfast cold buffet was limited but probably adequate for most. The cooked breakfast (pick and mix from the menu) was really nicely done and generous. To be frank, I am finding it difficult to write this review. The hotel is graded as 3 star, but my immediate and lasting impression is that of a boutique, 4 star hotel. We felt very comfortable throughout and would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to others.…
