Lovely B&B clearly well run - the welcome was warm and friendly and it was clear pride was taken in providing a good level of service excellent based on price so was great value. Location is a bit of a hike to the Esplanade (where I wandered down for some dinner but be warned it’s an uphill hike back!) the advantage was you were able to park. If I was going to criticise anything it would be the size of the to in the room. As I work away a lot it is one of the things I find advantageous! Breakfast was excellent and certainly filled a hole! I’d book again as for a one night stop you can do a lot worse!
We stayed here for two nights. The proprietors enjoy their job immensely. We had a good choice for breakfast - my eggs were cooked beautifully! The room was lovely and the bathroom and shower were spacious.
We stayed for two nights at Park Lodge, very friendly owners and staff. Good Breakfast of top quality bacon, freshly laid eggs, beans and tomatoes. They also provided me with Gluten Free bread which was very good too. No complaints at all.
This is a decent sized B&B situated up a fairly steep hill from Ryde Esplanade. On arrival I was greeted by friendly host, who is a smoker. I found the smokey air to be a bit off putting to be honest. Shown to my room, which was clean and OK. Only two small towels though, and just soap and shower gel. I guess I could have asked for shampoo and a hand towel. There was a hair drier in the room which was good., though no long mirror. B&B only has showers, no baths. Also just a dining room, no lounge to sit in. Had some trouble with WiFi access code but we got this sorted. Breakfast was good, and included in price. The hosts were helpful and also very flexible which I was grateful for. When it came to paying for the room, I was told they only accept cash or cheque (who carries around cheque books these days?). I had to go up the road to a cash machine which charges £1.60 for a cash withdrawal! All in all the stay served my purpose and undoubtedly would have been better if it hadn’t rained all the time!…
Booked night before in a hurry and didn’t read reviews. Couldn’t have been better this should have more than five stars. This accommodation is well decorated, furnished and very clean, the breakfast is good quality and the proprietors are very friendly. We really can’t fault this place and as we travel around the country and stay then we feel this is the very best B&B we have come across. We Will return.
This b&b is clean and the bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Ryde ferry port. Some of this walk is a bit uphill. Carol the owner is very nice. The only thing was that breakfast was served at only 8.30 on both days, so this was way too early for us & instead we went to a cafe close by.
First impression is always important we arrived 2hours early knocked on door was met with a smile from carol who said no problem parking is good location is excellent.the whole place. Is absolutely spotless I thought it had been refurbed this shows owners dedication to customers and. Cleanliness breakfast also excellent Will defanately stop again and would highly reccamend any one to stay here very very good value for money Shaun Kynaston Shrewsbury
Stayed here Thursday night for 1 night pre festival. Lovely room and breakfast. Carole and crew happy to help with requests and welcoming (beans on toast & brown sauce -just what I fancied). Would stay here again.
Stayed here with a group of friends whilst walking the coast path. Friendly owners. Clean and warm rooms. We had a good night's sleep to prepare us for the day ahead. Breakfast was very good - choice of juices, fruit, cereals and a cooked breakfast which my husband really enjoyed.
We booked Park Lodge as a last minute night away to see friends from the USA that were back visiting family. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much of a problem. Breakfast was very good and a good selection, the full English was good not over loaded and not too little. The rooms were a good size, bed was very comfortable, the towels were on the small size but did the job. As we were due to take the ferry and the B&B tried to get us a taxi but they were all booked up, so the owners dropped us down to the ferry themselves.
