We stayed here because we'd had some good lunches and the location is great. Well, never again. The room was minute - and I mean so minute that you could hardly get around the bed. If we'd been traveling with more than just carry-on bags we'd never have got them in the room. And the room clearly wasn't cleaned. They...

A lovely hotel set in the lovely little village of Fishbourne just moments away from the ferry. A nice walk to Ryde only 30 mins. The breakfast was lovel and it was very tranquil to sit and look at the amazing view. The interior was all very traditional and the beds were unbelievably comfortable.

Excellent steak sandwich made quickly in pleasant garden. Shame it took me so long to get served at the bar because there were separate places to get drinks and order food. Classic pub food. Perfect for a sunny wait in the garden for ferry riders

Met friends here for lunch. Beautiful setting and as it was a warm and sunny day we sat outside. About 13 of us. All ordered our drinks at the bar separately with our food. Considering the amount of us the service was quick. I had the fish and chips and asked for baked beans instead of peas which they were...

Visited for Sunday lunch with family. Distinctly lukewarm reception from staff who preferred to carry on with their current tasks or talk rather than serve. Ordered Sunday lunch and was told they had no Yorkshire puddings. Assuming they have flour eggs, and milk I wouldn't have thought this was difficult to rectify but apparently so. Food arrived and vegetables were cold...

Nice food but we had a long wait of 45 minutes for it! The children's sausages were well over cooked and some chips were barely cooked but fish was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would visit again if we weren't in a rush

We visited as 6 adults on a Saturday night whilst visiting the Isle of Wight for the weekend. I checked out the reviews beforehand and booked a table so was disappointed that The Fishbourne didn't live up to expectations. First off, the bar and restaurant seemed to operate separately so drinks throughout the night had to be ordered at the...

Possibly the most expensive house wine on the Island. £6.95 !!! The same wine in the Woodmans in wootton is £4.95. A shame because the pub itself is well appointed and in a nice location. Staff are friendly and the meals acceptable.

Have been to the Fishbourne Inn many times, now since the refurbishment they have changed the menu and there are lots of gluten free options which is really good as not many places do gluten free on the Isle of Wight!
