Our 2nd time staying at the Sorrento Lodge and their standards remain very high. The en suite rooms are spacious and very comfortable with all you need for a relaxing stay. THE BREAKFAST!!!! beware, the quantities served are huge with an absolutly excellent choice so no need to go hungry here, the service by Simon was very good. They have free wi-fi parking and a nice garden
I have just stayed at Sue and Gary's excellent B&B . I stayed for a week and would not hesitate to recommend Sorrento Lodge to anyone thinking of visiting the Isle of Wight The location right on Ryde's seafront is perfect and free off street parking is a bonus. Fortunately Sue is now able to serve breakfast as Covid rules now permit this and no one is allowed to go hungry ! Finally I would like to add that the accommodation is exceptionally clean and well sanitized which is very reassuring in view of the pandemic .
We often use this B&B when visiting the Isle of Wight. As usual a warm welcome, clean and comfortable rooms. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Shame there was no breakfast being served due to Covid restrictions but the owner made up for this by deducting some money off the nightly cost.
We often use this B&B when visiting the Isle of Wight. As usual a warm welcome, excellent breakfast and a comfortable pleasant stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean with an excellent selection of tea, coffee and biscuits.
what an amazing hotel this was, stayed for 3nights this weekend just gone, and cant speak highly enough of the owners, nothing was too much trouble for them, rooms was spotless with ironing board and iron (which for me is a massive thing), and lots of coffee and tea making facilities, and the showers are very powerful which helps. the views at the back are amazing of ryde seafront. the best thing about this place is the breakfast, honestly each morning i eaten the full english i was not hungry till teatime, it is that big. would 100% come down here again.
I went to Isle of Man to stay for one night and ended up there for 4. This is a friendly family run business that made me feel very welcome and doesn't advertise as it runs on word of mouth, when you've stayed you understand that. I have travelled a lot and I was so impressed with the cleanliness of my room, it was better than some large hotels. The range of teas, coffees and biscuits is amazing, and toiletries, the breakfast were very good, very fresh fruit, hot food cooked well and perfect poached eggs. Great value for money. Would definitely stay there again, it's in Ryde minutes away from ferry and bus terminal, the island is lovely and has amazing bus service.
We stayed for a week at Sorrento Lodge. It was recommended by some friends on the island. Well what a great place to stay. Sue & Gary were very welcoming from the minute we walked through the door. The room was a large family room facing the Solent. Spotlessly clean, with mints on the pillows, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc.we even had a happy Easter card and a box of chocolates in the room. Big fluffy towels in the bathroom with soaps and shampoo amongst other items. The full breakfasts were fantastic along with cereal, fruits and yogurts. Nothing was to much trouble. All in all a great B&B, of which we will be returning to... Thank you again Sue and Gary fo making us so welcome.
Had a lovely stay at the Sorrento lodge. Nice room with lovely bathroom en-suite. Large Victorian style rooms with plenty of room for room uses. Great views and a fantastic location with wonderful sea views of Ryde beech. This B&B is ideally located for walks down to Apply and into Ryde with off road parking. Full English Breakfast is massive and will fill you for the day, the host will facilitate any request or alteration. There is fresh fruit and yoghurt on offer with pots of tea or coffee made to order.
Stayed as a family of 4; 2 adults 2 children. Everything we needed in the room, including plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, plus a lovely welcome of treats on the first day. Also a welcomed “normal” hairdryer (not one of those strange ones that are welded to the wall and cannot be moved anywhere near a mirror!), and an iron and ironing board. Plus plenty of storage space in the bedrooms and hanging space in the bathroom. Breakfast was huge. Plenty to choose from, cereals, croissants, mega cooked English, yoghurts and tons of colourful fruit, as well as drink, and any sweetener that you can think of that you might require for your tea/coffee. In the hallway there are lots of leaflets offering suggestions of where you might wish to spend the day, however Sue and Gary are a wealth of knowledge should you have any questions about any specific location or area. Weather wasn’t perfect on our visit, but as a result we got to explore loads of places around the island instead of lazing constantly on the beach if the sun had been out every day. So many places to go even when there is cloud and rain forecast. When the sun WAS with us, we could just grab our kit and walk across the road to the wonderful sandy Ryde beach. Plenty of off street parking for your car if you have driven to the Sorrento Lodge. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a B&B. Thank you so much to Sue and Gary for making us feel so welcome.…
