We arrived on Saturday for a family wedding. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. They agreed to an early check in so we could change before the wedding, and lent us an iron and a few other items that we needed. The host then showed us a quick route to the wedding venue (which was about 50m away) via the back garden. What a delightful walk through the garden again in the evening as we made our way back from the wedding. Lovely fairy lights all the way up to the house. The hosts were so considerate of dietary requirements and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning and a chat before we left. The B&B was ideal for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt the owners were very friendly.
It felt like home. The hosts were amazing.! I was vegan and she was so considerate while preparing breakfast for me. Their cute little dog <3 They were very helpful in terms of recommending places to us for dinner. The way the hosts have maintained & decorated the place- we were legit in awe <3 would love to visit them again definitely for a longer duration and highly recommend people to at least stay here whenever they are in Cowes.
Unfortunately the owner of this establishment showed us to a little chalet in the garden which he said was our room . It looked ok . When we went to get our cases he then told me he had made a mistake and showed us to the room in the house which was very disappointing and we should have left then . The main house was shabby and run down . The bedroom although it had a king sized bed had nowhere to put anything , no shelves or drawers and just a small cupboard to hang things in . The bedside tables were very small and had a bedside lamp which gave my husband an electric shock . The shower en suite was very basic . I had to ask for a hand towel as there was only one . The toilet seat slid all over the place , the shower head leaked and the shelf for toiletries was too small There was no bath mat so the floor was very slippery . The floor boards creaked all the time . Because of the noise from upstairs we were unable to sleep . We decided to leave the next day . I wrote to the owners and asked for a refund for the night we didn’t stay but they refused . They told me I should have been very grateful for a room as it was Cowes Week . Cowes Week doesn’t start until August 1 st . It was not a good experience ! We won’t be going there again !…
We stayed 2 nights in one of the chalets. It was perfect. Peaceful, private, beautiful esp at night with fairy lights throughout the garden. Very comfy beds, excellent tea and coffee making facilities, good wifi, good shower, soft fluffy towels, large breakfast ( with veggie and vegan options) with perfect poached eggs! Very dog friendly with direct access to the park from the back gate. Our hosts were friendly welcoming and helpful but never intrusive. Great value as well. I can't think of any faults and would highly recommend it to anyone.
This lovely couple run a very person centred B&B, they were quick to go the extra mile, like a bucket for iced water for my poorly feet after walking the coastal path and installing fans for the record breaking temperatures! Breakfast was outstanding and they were flexible enough with timings so we could catch our early ferry. We had 2 nights here, separated at start and end of trip, one night in the garden room which was beautiful and very well equipped, the second in the main house, again very comfortable. Would definitely return 👍
My husband and I visited our wonderful Isle of Wight this weekend for the Isle of Wight festival. We arrived on Friday to the lovely Jonathon at the door and he showed us through to our chalet (The fat Badger) this lovely little cabin is hidden in a fantastic garden and is secluded from the house so you can choose the amount of privacy you can have. There is another cabin in the garden too but is hidden away. Big comfy bed, great shower, smart tv, tea and coffee facilities (with proper cups!) It was a hot weekend and a cool box is provided too too keep your wine cool! There is a door at the end of the garden which leads you through to the back of the park and into the high street or straight down to the front (5 mins walk) which was perfect for us as we were out all hours going to and from the festival. Our breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, fresh coffee and a fully cooked english was served every morning on our verandah and went down an absolute treat and was definately an essential after all those warm ciders in the sun the days before! They have 2 lovely calm dogs too which was lovely as they were so friendly. Thank you so much to Johnathon and his wife for making us feel so comfortable and welcome! We will DEFINATELY make sure our friends and family all know about you and we will be back very soon! …
We stayed here on Monday night 14/6/22 it looked pretty and the reviews were good, we arrived and all I can say is WOW! We stayed in one of the cabins in the garden (my other half thought it was hilarious we were sleeping in someone's shed) well he was amazed and quickly took back his comment. The hosts showed us round and asked what time we would like breakfast etc, Huge comfy bed, we got ready and set off into Cowes for the evening, we were shown the back gate which is great as we did not need to disturb the other guests and on our return we were blown away, the huge garden was lit up with fairy lights and the water features running, so pretty and tranquil. We slept amazingly well and had a shower, plenty of hot water in the lovely bathroom. Breakfast was served to us on our veranda at the time we requested. fresh orange and tea lovely fruit, yogurt and followed by a full breakfast!! (if your bothered by a few cobwebs this isn't the place for you, you need to bare in mind your in the garden) but anyone looking for a lovely peaceful place to stay I would highly recommend, the owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble.…
You read reviews and they hope they meet you expectations well Warde Avenue exceeded they. What a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in a chalet at the bottom of the garden and it was delightful. Melissa and Jonathan were great hosts and brought our ovy breakfast every morning down to us and we ate on the balcony. Would highly recommend this place. Ideally situated in Cowes.
We were greeted at the front door by the host who introduced themselves and showed us to the room. The room was excellent and we loved staying in it. The furnishings were to a really high standard and we were super comfortable. Location is brilliant, you are a short walk from everything but it is secluded enough to be silent. The breakfast was great and the hosts were able to adjust to our dietary requests. Local food and great coffee. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and this B&B was EASILY within my top 10!!!!
We stayed on two separate occasions, a week apart while walking the Isle of Wight Coastal Path booked through Absolute Escapes. The room was lovely and we immediately felt at home. Breakfast was superb, served in the Conservatory and a meal to be savoured. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful masking for a wonderful stay.
