Immaculate room, comfy bed and a super range of breakfast snacks (breakfast service not currently available because of Covid restrictions). Lots of lovely thoughtful touches and the jigsaw therapy was welcome! Thank you. I would definitely stay here again.
Well, what can I can! This is the third time I have stayed at this fantastic guest house. And I probably wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this part of the island now as it feels like a second home. Stephen and Deb are always so welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. I came with a bicycle and they locked it away overnight so it was safe. The local chip shop “up” the hill is better than the one in the centre (in my opinion). And I would also recommend bringing some DVDs, (as others have said), as all the rooms have built in DVD player in the tv. Free wifi throughout. It’s also an AMAZING location. Perfect for both ferry connections, and also on the main bus route into Newport (every 10 mins) To sum up, 10 out of 10 and can’t fault it at all. I will be back.
We choose a blowy weekend to visit and cycle around the island. Room was great. Hosts even better and plied us with gin on return from epic day out to aid recovery. What more could you ask for? A home from home staycation. Thanks for having us.
Great location, just a short walk down the hill to the town centre. We had a twin room in the sail loft which was very well presented and squeaky clean, you could smell the clean linen as you entered the room. Clean towels daily, tea and coffee facilities and free WiFi. The breakfast was delicious with a vast choice and refillable tea and coffee. You are able to come and go freely throughout the day thanks to the touch pad entry system. The owners Debs and Steve are the most pleasant , helpful people plus it was nice to be welcomed by their little dog Jazz ! Can't recommend this B&B highly enough and will definitely stay here again when we next visit the I.O.W
This B&B exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate and Debs very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was the nicest we have experienced with plenty of choice and beautifully cooked. There is a car park across the road which is reasonable in the day but free from 18.00hours till 06.00 a.m.Would definitely recommend it.
I very rarely stay in B&B's but my visit to the Gray's Inn might have just changed all that, we received a lovely and warm welcome in Cowes. Everything was as expected and even more - the room we stayed in was on the top floor, beautiful simple design but a very comfy bed/linen made for a great night's sleep, the bathroom although small was everything we needed including some nice homely touches. Everything was clean and tidy, the best thing is the location - it's close enough to most local amenities and you can come and go as you please. One of the best things was breakfast, freshly cooked and with plenty of choice, you could taste the quality too. You both work really hard and we were really pleased that we chose the Gray's Inn to stay for our first visit to the Isle of Wight. I am gutted that I didn't get to meet the dog, but gives me a reason to come back!…
We have stayed here on two separate occasions and have always been pleased with the standard of the rooms. Everywhere is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and everything is freshly cooked to order. The hosts are friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome.
What can I say, Steve and Debs are the hosts with the most, late booking due to my wife deciding that she was coming too, I was already for the campsite. As soon as we arrived from Inverness we were made to to feel that this was our hame for the next 4 days. Debs gave us a speedy run down of the bars in Cowes(the festival go’ers most important topic), where to leave muddy boots to dry and room keys. The room was in the top floor, “duck or grouse”, I’m 6’2”, going up was fine but a few words on the way down. Lol The standard was the best i’ve seen and then came breakfast, Yowser’s, tables set as though a five course meal was about to be served, table full of the health cereals, fruit etc, I’m scottish fully cooked is the choice, man that was great, quality food, cooked to perfection. The morning banter with our host’sand fellow guests was full of laughs and the most obscure topic’s. Cowes itself was magical, yes you can’t hide the pound notes, that suits me, you’ve got to pay for quality, When M&S food hall is your corner shop(fine selection of premixed can’s for the bus), festival bus bang outside the B&B and the Vectis Traven(a drinker’s bar) at the bottom of the hill. Needless to say, tickets bought for 2020 and a return to The Gray’s Inn, can’t wait. Steve and Debs you run a quality business and we give this 5 stars, If the Grays fully booked for 2020 a fine scottish saying springs to mind, “get it right up ya”, we’re in. Ps can Steve move the cricket screens about so we get our 3 hours plus of daylight back. Lol Love John and Jen …
Warm, welcoming, wonderful hosts. Very accommodating and went the extra mile with making a delicious breakfast. Rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean. Would love to visit again. Highly recommend staying with this lovely couple.
