A quintessentially English pub in a stunning location. The pub is steeped in history and dates back to the 14th century, the food looked really good. Well worth a visit if in the area and village is definitely worth a visit.
Always a nice atmosphere in this place and consistantly good food.

En route to Hay on Wye and saw the beautiful church spire so turned off the main road and found this gem of a village. Most house built in 1500s. Just like this lovely pub ...great welcome nice beer......will come back.

Dear Gail, We expect to have our Christmas decorations up by 1st December, so any time from then will be fine (and the roaring fire is a given at that time of year!). A double room (bedroom 2) will be £85 per night, or we have the suite (bedroom 3) which comes with a large private sitting room. I shall be glad to hear from you in due course.
Regards, Stuart Elder
