For our annual visit, my friends and I were saddened this year to hear of the recent death of the manager, Kevin Powles. He was such a character, full of warmth and wit. The staff stoically carry on his good work to maintain the Talbot as Leominster's top hotel. Rooms and facilities kept in good order. The standard of the...

The good: Excellent location right in the centre of Leominster with free parking. Very pleasant and friendly staff - reception, housekeeping and bar/restaurant. Huge room and bathroom (24). Quirky and interesting building - lots of beams, nooks and crannies and some interesting antiques - mind your head if you're over 6 foot! Nice bar (with bar food available) and separate...

Stayed here with work and had a double room. To start I'm 6ft 2" and I had to crouch round this hotel it is not for tall people, very old fashioned and there's nothing in Leominster coming from a city maybe it's different if your used to that type of town...? Clean and staff friendly enough room size very big...

Right in the middle of this market town, the Talbot looks a bit scruffy from the outside and inside the stairs to the rooms are typically up and down, but don't let that put you off. I booked on the phone with ease and got a great rate, check in easy, free parking, surprisingly good wifi in the rooms and...

My daughter and I had an overnight stay at The Talbot having bought a Living Social voucher for £49. If we had chosen to eat in the restaurant , the three course meal would have included a bottle of wine. The hotel is very old, and could never be described as having a boutique feel , but it was very...

Stayed overnight on Friday 4th March 2016. We booked with a Living Social Deal offer and did not expect much for the price we paid. On approaching we did think we had booked a rough and ready , get away as the exterior did nothing to impress us from the back approach! but what a lovely surprise once inside ....

A central pub/hotel in the middle of Leominster serving good beer. The hotel part is undergoing refurbishment when we visited but the bar is still open. There is a nice stove in the main bar although the seating area to make the most of it is fairly limited.
