We arrived on Easter Sunday ready to walk the Hergest Ridge and announced our name to find out that we were booked in for the following week. Anne-Marie was marvellous and arranged a room for us. Phew! The spa facilities were most welcome after the hike. Everything was good - room, staff, dinner and breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel about four years ago whilst on business, and so enjoyed the area decided to return. My son and I are keen walkers, and the area is A 1 in this respect. The Burton is a delightful hotel, with exceptionally helpful staff, lovely gym and pool, and can be highly recommended if you are looking for...

Spent 2 nights here for a short break. A bit pricey however a pleasant environment with amazing facilities at the spa and the staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was included and tasted great. Recommend for a weekend away.

from the moment I got there, the staff couldn't do enough. great service. room brill, bed was big and soft, shower ace, en suite big. 5 or 6 decent pubs in town, but the bar at the hotel was well stocked and a good laugh. dinned in, very reasonable and filling main course. Spa however was superb. ace pool and...

We stayed in one of the newly refurbished deluxe rooms which was well worth the money. Very comfy bed and amazing bathroom and shower. Very peaceful. Staff helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good, maybe just slightly let down by the quality of the sausages! Only downside was that the communal areas need updating but if they do this in the...

This is a family favourite for special occasions or just for a nice evening out. The welcome is always warm and friendly. The bar food menu is excellent, and the restaurant menu always has something a little different to whet the appetite. The restaurant dining is formal but not stuffy and you always feel well looked after.

This hotel was once very grand but that was a long time ago.the hotel really needs a fresh coat of paint in the main part of the hotel the new part seems fine as is the gym which although is not unto the standard of many serves a function. The rooms are clean and the staff fantastic.

A country town hotel with character, extremely pleasant staff nothing is too much trouble, food in the bar (where our dog was allowed) was excellent and the popularity by young and older clientele in the evening that we were resident was evidence of its value and prestige in the town. The original hotel building has character, sloping floors, uneven walls...

Wandering around Kington trying to find somewhere open for a full breakfast on a Monday, I popped in on the off chance. I arrived just after 9.30 when they finish serving, but they could not have been more obliging. A fresh table was laid up, a full breakfast was cooked and toast was unlimited. A grand start to my visit...

This hotel is a curate's egg - "I assure you that parts of it are excellent!" And I do mean excellent! We stayed in the new wing at the rear of the 'old' Burton and it was as good (if not better) as any of the big hotel chains such as Novotel. Comfortable, spacious and quiet. Excellent parking. We noticed...
