In order to explore Herefordshire we wanted a good restaurant / hotel and chose the Greenman as our base Unfortunately we were unable to reserve a room online as the hotel was full for our chosen night. By chance we phoned up to find that there was indeed availability! We opted for a 'double compact' at the front of the...

I stayed with a fishing friend, the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. The food and beer are great, the room was very comfortable. The location is perfect for fishing the Rive Wye. We will be visiting again.

A lovely very old and traditional english pub with nice rooms and a good breakfast, in the picturesque village of Hownhope. Many great walks and pretty villages to visit. We also enjoyed a good dinner. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Genuine beams and dark oak in public areas. 1960 revival meets rustic in rooms. Good parking space and attractive garden area. We stayed in room 13 across a cobbled courtyard. Clearly planned as a self catering appartment accessed by 4 steps. Large sitting room with two comfortable sofas, coffee table and TV. Dining area to seat 6 with another sofa...

Fantastic venue , fantastic food, fantastic staff ! We had our daughters wedding reception because she wanted vintage style wedding. The function room was excellent for this. If you did not want vintage style it would be great for any other formal occasion . The food was top class and high quality and not over priced. The staff were very...

The food is excellent as is the beer. The general atmosphere and first impressions are great. However, the rooms are quite dirty. Dust everywhere in first room, no issues with moving however, second room was quite dirty also. Bed linen was worn and not in a shabby chic style. Good quality but had its day, last year. Lovely breakfast in...

Can be a bit expensive but many reasonably priced meals. Fish and chips with home made tartare sauce is amazing! Sit in the main bar area as it has a much better atmosphere. So bday lunch is ok but not as good as evening menu.

Had a very good overnight stay here, booked last minute and would have happily stayed longer. Very stylish and comfortable decor. Lovely garden areas. We ate in the restaurant and service and food were very good..would particularly recommend the steak and chips. Happy and helpful staff throughout.

We stayed at the Greenman for just the one night. We booked here due to its closeness to Much Marcle, where we were due to visit Westons Cider Mill. We enjoyed a great night here. The hotel itself looks beautiful in its rural surroundings. There is a fairly large carpark to the side. There was plenty of space, depsite the...

Booked The Geeen Man on recommendation. Fully met expectations. Lovely location. Stunning views of the river Wye only a very short walk away. Beautifully decorated and furnished Inn. Stayed for dinner which was soooo good. No wonder this place is so popular. We had a couple of very small points to make about the room lights and "sticking internal door"...
