Set in the picturesque village of Aldbury, the Greyhound is a traditional pub which has been modernised and serves good quality pub food. After a lovely walk around the adjoining Chilterns, my wife and I visited the pub with our 3 daughters and our dog and sat outside in the secluded beer garden. The bar staff were somewhat overstretched after...

The Greyhound inn is a lovely village pub which is very friendly. We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Most of us had Roast beef and it was delicious! Catered well for gluten free. The only thing I would suggest is more fish on the menu for the people who don't eat so much meat.

Nice unspoilt country pub, not in a chain. Nice ale, all Badger Brewery but good enough. We didn't stay so I can't comment on the accommodation or breakfast. Parking was tricky, mainly on street, and no Blue Badge space. Other than that access was good. Staff most friendly and polite. Service was good. Food was fine, probably not as great...

A friend and I were on a bike ride and fancied a spot of lunch. We stopped here and had bacon and Brie sandwiches. They were very tasty and the service was quick and friendly. The location is great I'll be back

Aldbury is a beautiful village approximately 35 miles from central London complete with village green and duck pond. The Greyhound Inn is in a picturesque setting within the village. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes of a very high standard. The service is friendly and efficient. I recommend it very highly indeed.

We live in Northamptonshire and as a rare treat, when we remember this place, we take a fine day's outing through the counties of Northants, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire on country roads wending our way through Ashridge Forest down to this delightful village of Aldbury and its well known pub. Therefore we have only been here for light lunchtime snacks, so...

We've been going to The Greyhound for more than ten years and the food and friendliness have always been excellent - and eating in the bar or outside meant we could bring our dog along too - perfect after an Ashridge walk! What's happened?! The food on Sunday was distinctly average (pricing is top end for a pub lunch). Three...

The people were great but the food was a bit lame. The soup (roasted pepper) tasted cheap and thin and the bread was just a couple of lank slices, nothing nice. The cheese and spring onion sandwich was mushed up cheese filling in between the same type of bread.

We have tried other places but always return here. Staff friendly and attentive. Scotch egg starter with homemade picallili delicious. I had the risotto for my main. No complaints here either. The steak came highly recommended by two diners too. Not a cheap choice but not overly expensive either.
