The hotel I intended to stay was fully booked and I thus was directed to Heather House, which turned out to be an outstanding alternative. Lovely room, very clean, an excellent, cooked breakfast makes your stay most comfortable. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

(Young, (mid 20s) active couple visiting Lyndhurst for a long weekend) The location of Heather House is a 5 minute walk to the town centre of Lyndhurst and just across the road from the forest. Upon arrival the staff were really helpful in terms of giving us advice on local cycle rides. The rooms looked like they'd just been decorated...

My husband and I have just returned from another lovely weekend at Heather House, we stayed for May Day Bank Holiday weekend (Fri 4th - Mon 7th May) and even though the weather was not perfect, a bit dull, windy and cold for most part, we still had a wonderful time. Heather House is a lovely large elegant B &...

Stayed at Heather House on a weekend trip to the New Forest. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable, and the owners clearly run a very professional service. Location-wise it is about 5-10 minutes walk from the town centre and there is lots of parking at the back of the house. Breakfast was good, though not spectacular. All in...

We stayed a night at Heather House and were very satisfied with the room and breakfast. The owners were friendly and were happy to accommodate us as early as 10:30 am. They also recommended a lovely walk and a nice pub too. The B&B is well located for public transport as well - the bus stop is just outside. We...

We were give a double room with en-suite, with a single room attached, on the 2nd floor. This was perfect for our needs. All areas of the the...

I stayed here for one night whilst away on business and found Ann the owner most welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and provided shampoos, hairdryer and a well stocked tea/coffee tray. Plenty of parking and convenient location for the town. Breakfast was very tasty and served promptly.

The worst welcome I’ve ever had from a hotel reception!!! As soon as we came through the door the manager said “if I knew you had a baby I wouldn’t give you the room” and then we were told not to let our 1 year old cry! No wonder the Hotel was the only vacant one around the area!
