What a great pub. Amazingly cosy and welcoming with smart countryside chic decor and all falls second place to the river Test! Team were fun, knowledgeable and attentive. Food was impeccable and fishing the next day was a dream come true. This place is a gem

We stopped for lunch on our way to visit our son, the Inn was a lovely place very old and a lovely feel to it, we ordered the beer battered fish and chips, the fish was delicious....however the chips were no better than the ones you see in fast food shops 'french fries' I could not get my fork in... Our party included 4 adults, 1 child and bump. The menu selection was fantastic and the food was amazing! The service was also brilliant. The girl who served us was chatty and very efficient. The gentleman (possibly the owner/manager), was lovely. Kept checking in on us and was great with my 2 year old. It was very clean, cosy, friendly... More

Food in the pub was excellent and the service was lovely, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back to the Greyhound... More

Lovely spot, great service and great food for a reasonable price. The lamb was a superb choice and not a small meal at all. Already planning a return trip and will try and coincide with Barrel's 41st! ;-)

My husband and I visited the Greyhound for dinner after seeing it featured on Countryfile recently; we were both very eager to try the carpaccio! The staff were very welcoming and the food arrived promptly, even during what looked like a very busy evening service. The whole place has a really charming atmosphere and the chateaubriand we shared was perfectly... More
