Esseborne Manor is quite remote with beautiful grounds, where you could play outside chess, croquet, and other activities, as well as nice quiet walks. Our friends arranged for their 40th wedding anniversary there; 12 adults and we thought what a fantastic place. This is a family run hotel and all the staff were lovely, pleasant and friendly to the extreme....

If you enjoy friendly but unobtrusive service, tasteful dishes in a formal setting and comfortable beds in charming rooms, then the Essebourne Manor is your choice. It's location is delightful - near Highclere Castle and just off the main road between Andover and Newbury. The hotel drive and parking (free) are safe and secure. This was one of our most...

Had our staff Christmas party here. Esseborne staff were so friendly, good humoured and efficient with what you might call a noisy bunch of diners:-) the food was well cooked and well presented and very tasty considering the amount of parties they had. Disco followed with good get up and dance tunes. All in all a great, fun evening and...

We stayed over after attending a reception. The ambiance and the meal at the reception were very good. Well stocked bar with local and real ales. Our room in the Courtyard was large, and a full refreshment tray was provided. The toiletries in the bathroom were of outstanding quality. Bed very comfortable. Some of the furniture and furnishings are a...

The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. I stay regularly at this hotel and enjoy the comfort, the relaxed style and the fabulous food. I travel on my own and never feel awkward or uncomfortable dining alone because the staff take the trouble to make me feel like an old friend. I recommend this hotel highly and wish them every...

Saw a great offer for 7 course Tasting Menu on Groupon and decided to go for it! Purchased with the wine pairing options as it was my husband's birthday. We arrived to a delightfully presented manor house set back from the A-road. Tastefully lit outside with good parking. Arrived at the reception and politely met by the staff member, who...

Stayed for one night. Had a lovely room (Burley) at the front of the hotel which was very peacefull. A nice traditional feel and staff that could not do more to help. The food was fantastic both for dinner and breakfast.
