The location (main house and grounds) are very good and well kept, so initial impressions are good and thus expectations are high, from here on its a gradual slide down unfortunately. We paid extra for a superior room which is in the main house, the en-suite was basic, the shower was poor, the shower head itself was loose and would...

You would be forgiven from being seduced by the initial wow factor of this beautifully traditional historic building and its grounds . However all fur coat and no knickers is a phrase that was certainly my experience . Rooms were tired and in need of new carpets , new curtains . Bathrooms were extremely old fashioned and shabby , service...

We had our wedding at the Elvetham on 8th Jan 2017 with all of the beautiful Christmas decorations still in place. The building and grounds are stunning at any time of the year but even more so with the decorations up. In practical terms the building and grounds are very well maintained and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We made our...

So...came here for a work do in January, because it was January we got special price rooms, so I paid 50 pounds for mine but I wouldn't had paid any more...carpet had stains, bathroom looked like a cheap layout, central heating didn't work in my room...the worst part was the breakfast...we where over 200 people and apparently another company had...

I recently returned to the Elvetham with a group of friends for their NYE Dinner/Dance having attended the function previously. I noticed that the price had increased substantially over the last time (some three years ago) but still decided to go as we had had a good time on both previous occasions. After I paid the deposit the menu choices...

We held our wedding here in December 2016. We researched 5 venues four of which were substantially cheaper than The Elvetham at first glance but, once you had priced up all the extras which come as standard here, eventually worked out at a similar price. That sorted, it was a forgone conclusion. The other important thing to bear in mind...

We held our company Xmas party here and from the welcome from Santa at the front door until we checked out the event could not have gone better. Fantastic setting that is very Christmassy. The food for mass catering was excellent and great service in the party. The only small grumble was that service in the bar before hand was...

Stayed here last night as our Christmas Party was hosted here, spectacular setting, fairytale like grounds and they put on a great party. The building is incredible to explore, the rooms are lovely if perhaps a little basic but with all the amenities regardless so worth it all round. Very good selection at breakfast and the staff were very helpful...

Laterooms at £85.00 a night. Nice location but the single room was basic and quite miserable. Look like they charge for the main building rather than accommodation quality. Arrived after dark and very poor, unlit signs on where to go.

Our son got married here in October and we stayed the night of the wedding. Firstly the wedding - It was just perfect. The staff all did a fabulous job on the day, particularly Andrew and Josh. They helped to make everything run like clockwork. The building is lovely and the grounds are just stunning. The food and drink were...
