We booked 4 rooms for a family wedding held nearby. We asked to have the rooms early to get ready for the wedding and staff were most helpful in ensuring this despite being full the night before. Breakfast was good and very quick considering 8 of us ordered at the same time. We were travelling with our 6 month old...

We stayed at the Berkeley arms hotel last weekend whilst attending a wedding at Berkeley castle. We parked in the car park and walked past a large group of drunken sweary young men who were hanging around outside the sports bar area and I was a little concerned about what we might find inside! The room was large with a...

When I arrived through the revolving doors expecting to see the hotel reception, I had that feeling that you get when you realise that you have to walk through the bar area to book in at the bar which doubles as the reception. The booking in process was easy and quick and the receptionist was friendly. I had my evening...

We stayed here in August 2014, just one night for a family wedding. The landlady was super helpful, helping us get all 4 rooms early so we could get changed. All four rooms were clean, bright and well equipped. Room 9 in particular is lovely. We also had 1,2,3. Comfy bed and a good night's sleep. In the morning we...

Stopped here for lunch on a whim last Monday as we were impressed by the exterior of the building and the interior decor, We sat in a comfortable bar at the rear. The barman (Ron?) was extremely welcoming and gave top service throughout. We just had the fish finger sandwiches which were a little dry but still very tasty, and...

We were in town for a family wedding had booked 2 rooms 3 months earlier and had email confirmation but when we arrived we were told they only had one room with no explanation. Mind you I wasn't disappoint as on entering the hotel it was far past its sell by date and needs a massive refurbishment with tatty carpets...
