A large group of us had Sunday lunch here today .Lovely soup, roast beef cooked to perfection, and sat on some unusual vegetables. We would definitely go here again and would recommend. The staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble.Easy to park, with easy access to the motorway.

We had not visited the restaurant for many years and had fond memories. It was very busy for Sunday lunch, however there was substantial capacity in many seating settings, including the orangery. We selected the roast chicken and lamb plus chicken nuggets for the children. The roast dishes were delicious and substantial enough for a large appetite. Service was perfect...

Friendly welcome from the bar manager Kevin.Guinness is spot on and served as a Guinness should be poured. Food is plentifully and taste delishus. Orangery is a nice place to sit and eat, also have the vittles bar and bar area to eat and sit.The lounge area is a nice place to relax and chat with a pint or coffee.

We went here not to stay but to meet a group of friends for food. The pub is very warm and welcoming with a lovely orangery which was a great space. There was a also a private dining area at the end which we also had but was a little too small for the numbers of us there were (more...

The hotel was handy for all routes north and south, though in a quiet location. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing and obviously fresh produce cooked to order; it was not overpriced either, especially for the quality. I wouldn't bother looking for something nearer to Bristol if you can...

I stayed with my wife recently and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It's not the Ritz, granted but for the money, represents excellent value. The room was spotless! Decor a little dated but who cares? I had my eyes closed most of the time as I was asleep. Bed was comfy. Room was quite warm so I;d suggest checking the radiators before...

Breakfast and dinner have been exceptional. Great, happy service too with a nice warmth. Great location to the M4 near Chippenham. Rooms are fine and guess reflective of the price. The pub section seemed to be popular too.

Booked a table for 6:30. We received a friendly welcome. Drinks took a while to arrive as was the order for food. Food was pleasant, a number of things on the menu unavailable. Desserts ok, not great. It's been a dozen years since I've been here and in my opinion the place has gone downhill which is a great shame.

We booked a table for a family meal . The staff were lovely and very polite . The food was great and plenty of it especially the cheese board. We had a problem with two meals not coming out but we were given free desserts and coffee . The staff were very apologetic .

So much better than our last visit a year ago. All seems to be down to a new head chef and all 3 of us were impressed You won't be hungry afterwards and the beef I had was just right being a little bit pink. The belly pork chosen by my wife and daughter was also well cooked and very...
