We visit Southend every school holiday to see our family and chanced upon this wonderful guesthouse last October. We have now stayed here twice and are booked in again at Easter. What a gem of a place to stay!!! Lovely clean, comfortable rooms with a great breakfast. It's great!!!! And really convenient.

A high quality B&B on the sea front in an elevated position with great views. Décor is immaculate, rooms and hotel very clean and well appointed. I stayed in a single room (1) which was small but adequate for 1 person with a shower and toilet/sink in the room too. Lovely breakfast and a professional welcome from the owners. This...

Very clean, warm, staff lovely, Breakfast great, bed comfortable, position excellent. The only problem we had was we do like bedside cabinets but realise there was no room for them, instead drinks and whatever else you might need, you had to put on shelves above the head board, another little problem was how small the bathroom was, after an excellent...

Great afternoon lunch! The jacket potato serving was spot on with fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. No shop bought here! I would recommend to anyone in the area! It was quiet, clean and friendly staff! I will definitely be coming back! Home made cakes look delightful and although I didn't have one this time I'm sure they would have gone...

Stayed here for one night when travelling for business. Everyone was really friendly. I stayed in room 8, it was a long way up, but the views made it worth while! Excellent WiFi, great food and a comfortable bed. My only suggestion would be better size bath towels. Will definitely stay here again.

Seven of us went for afternoon tea - £17 including a glass of mulled wine. However we were charged extra for teas and coffee so the afternoon didn;t turn out that cheaply. We had paid a deposit of £5 each voluntarily and had booked for 11. When the bill came they charged us £3 deposit for the four people who...

Dear lindapr2015 Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As you are aware we have already had an email exchange on this subject. Our Festive afternoon tea , which many have enjoyed, is made to order and therefore if we make and prepare more items than the number of people attending we have food wasted , which...
