This is the second time that I have stayed at The Woodlands, this visit with my partner who was in Waltham Abbey for the first time. Alan is a great host, who always shows interest in the day's activities and willingly shares his knowledge. He also cooks a delicious breakfast! Our reasonably priced, sunny room was on the back corner...

The Woodlands is immaculate, Customer service excellent, and every attention is given to Guests. In 20 years the Owner has never had one complaint before. I highly recommend it, and urge anyone not to be put of by this poisonous and untrue review.

We used this B&B as a stopover on our walk along the Lea Valley walk. Although we arrived quite late in the evening, we were made very welcome by Alan. Our bedroom was the garden room set in the garden at the rear of the property with twin beds and an adjoining bathroom with shower. The beds were very welcoming...

The owner is very attentive and knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was excellent,he also did vegetarian. The rooms were warm, clean and comfortable. Easy to get to from the Stansted Airport and M25. I came with two Spanish friends who really enjoyed it. I can't find anything to fault this B&B. Steve

Room was very comfortable with a relaxing double bed with an ensuite shower. Room also included tea and coffee making facilities this included; kettle, 2 mugs and...

First impressions were not good with and overgrown front garden and dirty front windows and door. Inside is a different matter with one of the friendliest hosts. We had the back upper double room which was clean and bright overlooking a well kept rear garden. The room was quiet and bed comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and plenty of it...

Stayed a night at The Woodlands whilst on a business trip. Alan made me very welcome - carried my bag upstairs. Helped me with an idiots guide to using the shower. Nice clean and comfy bedroom with ensuite shower and adjacent toilet. He cooked me a lovely breakfast and even cleared the windows of my car and stopped the traffic...

Stayed for a weekend at The Woodlands and couldn't have been made more welcome. The owner Alan accomodated 7 of us recently visiting relatives in the area. The rooms are very spacious and spotless, breakfast was lovely and the cost for our stay was very reasonable. Well worth looking at if you are looking for a place to stay in...
