Made this booking on recommendation from a colleague, and wow, what a pleasant surprise, and welcome change from typical corporate Hotel stays! Stayed in the Birch Suite and only disappointment was that I was only there for 1 night. If you are staying in Che,Medford, or around, try this place!

Since this very kind review incorporates two recommendations I should like to say thank you to both our guests and I hope that we may be welcoming them back to Channels Lodge in the very near future. Simon Larner

myself and my family stayed at channels lodge for my wedding in August. It's not the first time we have stayed with them and each time has been equally special. The rooms are beautiful and each one unique and charming, with comfortable beds and stunning period features. The service is second to none, we will certainly be returning for Our...

The wish to return is the nicest compliment a hotel can receive and I am most grateful that our guest should have taken the time and trouble to express it in writing. Simon Larner

We stayed here, like many others do, for a wedding at the same venue. As there were three of us staying we were allocated the attic room in the lodge, which has room for a separate bed. That's about where this review stops - this room is totally unsuitable for guest accommodation. You enter the room through a sort of...

In expressing my concern at the dissatisfaction with the room referred to in this review I would point out that the Lodge is a converted Tudor farmhouse so that beams are bound to feature prominently throughout the property. In fact, many of our guests specify such rooms which they consider particularly attractive. Moreover, it is a gross exaggeration to state...

Having tried camping at V Festival last year, this year we decided glamping was the way forward! It was totally the right decision in booking up at Channels Lodge. We stayed in the Aspen Suite for 2 nights which is a charming self contained apartment above the bar. The furniture, fittings and decoration all lovely and modern. This suite is...

It was a pleasure to read this very complimentary review and to know that our guests had enjoyed their stay in the Aspen suite at Channels Lodge. I am, of course, sorry that we were unable to take the same booking for next year but the growing popularity of the V Festival makes it a very busy time. I am...

We came to Channels Lodge for a friend's wedding that was held at the venue here. Fabulous settings, staff, food and service. We stayed in The Elm which was spotless, modern and luxurious. Very quiet and romantic. A gorgeous friendly cat greeting us when we left the room in the morning was the icing on the cake 😆

It was a great pleasure to read this very complimentary notice and to know that Mr and Mrs Peck had left Channels Lodge with such a favourable impression. In fact, this same review has made us wonder whether to ask our cat, who answers to the name of Biscuit always to wish our guests farewell. Simon Larner

Took my mum here for her birthday. Was a little bit disappointed that no one there even said happy birthday to her. The rooms were lovely. We were in an outside room not in the main house as we took our dog with us. It was very comfortable. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Toiletries hair shampoo and body...

Sadly, it is now too late for us to wish this reviewer's mother a happy birthday, an omission for which I can only apologise. The question of menus is, of course, very much a matter of taste and while I accept that the presence of workmen can be a distraction the end result will be to improve still further the...

While first impressions are important it is particularly nice to read such a favourable review from a guest who has now stayed with us on three occasions. I spent a night here and I have to say it was really lovely. The room was spotless and had everything you need including a fridge with fresh milk and snacks. I stayed here for several months while working in the area and I believe I stayed in most of the rooms. Each was different and great it it's own individual way. We had booked Channels Lodge for a one night stay after reading great reviews on TA. Can highly confirm that all these glowing reviews are well deserved. Spent a very comfortable night in the splendid Oak Suite followed by an excellent freshly cooked breakfast before checking out. Most impressed.
