Today this hotel is closing. Stayed here for the last 3 weeks on business and through out my stay the staff have been excellent. Everyone knew the hotel would soon be closing but they still worked hard to keep standards up. I wish all the staff good luck in finding new jobs

Here on business. Hotel is dated and old but they are pulling it down in a month so they won't be updating it!! Staff are fab and friendly feel sorry for them having to find new jobs when it closes but they would do well wherever they go. Cheers

I used this hotel as an overnight stay before a business event. It serves the purpose without any issues. One downside was there was no wi-fi access in my room but you could link up.in the main areas.

The hotel is dated and desperately needs a refurb but that does not excuse the poor standards of cleanliness. The room was filthy it was not heated and the smell was awful old musty and dirty. The bedding was grubby and waste left on the loo brush yuk. We will not be staying again.

Old and tired and empty. Room was clean and spacious but the whole place needs a makeover . Staff are too familiar and need customer service training. But polite enough. Very 80s! It's overpriced and I'd rather stay in a Premier Inn.

I had my dad's wake here, it was in the Washington room, the room is dated but was clean and functional, the buffet was good and well laid out, this I couldn't fault really. Now the staff were where I found the problem, there was no personal touch, I would go as far as calling the particular lady who dealt...

All the Staff I encountered were help full and friendly. The rooms are a little jaded and tired looking but have everything you require. Hotel is quiet enabling you a good nights sleep and the breakfast sets you up for the day. If I were in the area again and required overnight accommodation I would use the Miami again.

£66 a night for this 70s throwback is a bit steep in my view. Especially when the rooms/chalets outside of the main building are a bit run down. Keep your vehicles locked up too, a couple of vans got done when we were there. Staff are friendly enough though. No wi-fi this day and age in your room? Well i...

Booked one night in this hotel to explore Chelmsford. The style of the building architecturally probably hasn't been fashionable for many many years now. The room was very dated looking but relatively clean and tidy, a bit noisy at night due to a busy road and thin walls. The few staff I had contact with were friendly and polite. Overall...

Arrived and was immediately greeted by an extremely friendly lady manning reception, who upgraded me to a better room. The room was spacious, clean and warm, and I could park directly in front of it - Perfect The only down side is that none of the rooms have wifi, therefore in order to do some work in the evening I...
